Bold statement alert : Some of THE best matte lip colour formulas I have ever tried.
No lie. The PUR Velvet Matte Liquid Lipsticks are the most beautiful formula of longwear colour/ liquid lipstick, like nothing I have tried and are super sumptuous and creamy to apply. They have a whipped mousse feel and the pigment is really full, so just one swipe and your lips will be saturated in comfortable colour.
I haven’t used a vast amount of PUR (used to be minerals, now ‘cosmetics’) and I certainly haven’t used anything from them that have impressed me quite as much as these! I can’t wait to add more into my collection.
The Velvet mattes contain a silicone complex (which give it this unique & smooth feel), light diffusing powders to give a flawless finish & Agave complex to hydrate and plump the lips. They come in 10 gorgeous shades with my top three being the Obsessed (fuschia pink), Ever After (Deep Lilac) & Fever (true red). Ever After is my true jam though and I have been wearing this so much over the last few weeks > that’s the shade in the lip shot below, and it’s a great autumnal (gulp I said it) hue.
The wear of them are as good as all the good long wear lippies I have tried, they will stay on for a good few hours before you need to re-apply and how often you have to do this will be dictated by what you are doing/ eating / drinking etc.
For me, a huge bonus is the fact that they have such a unique feel on the lips, and leaves them super smooth and fills in bumps and lines to give a really plump-looking lip contour.
