I think I have found my new favourite cleanser. Possibly one to replace my beloved Emma Hardie cleansing balm, and THAT’s saying something. I was sent a few bits from new-ish skincare range, Aurelia a few weeks ago and as I had just run out of my cleansing balm, I tried this one straight away and instantly am obsessing about this product. This skincare range prides itself on a luxurious mix of science & nature without using any reactive chemicals including synthetic fragrances, parabens, mineral oils, silicones, sulphates,
propylene glycol, phthalates, GMO, PEGs, TEA, DEA and none are tested
on animals.
The Miracle Cleanser.
It’s a super aromatic and creamy cleansing balm that lifts off all impurities, dirt & make-up. Instantly the smell skin of reminds me of the Liz Earle cleansing balm and that’s because it contains a similar blend of essential oils including Eucalyptus, Chamomile, Rosemary and Bergamot. I find this instantly uplifting and really refreshing and am a big fan of the aromatic fragrance. The texture of this is a rich cream that is really silky soft and gentle on the skin, what I really like is that is doesn’t feel greasy at ALL on my face. With some oil cleansers, when you are applying them to an oily skin it can feel a bit too much and greasy but this feels really nice, silky and luxe on the skin.
The cleanser comes with an antibacterial bamboo muslin cloth which not only buffs away dead skin cells, it also helps to stimulate the skin’s natural renewal process. I have been using it mainly as my PM cleanser although it’s still absolutely fine to use in the AM, but as an cleanser with a heavy oil base, it’s great to use as your *main* pm cleanse to rid your face of the day. Apply the balm all over your dry face and eyes, and then after massaging it in for a minute or so, I warm the cloth with water and remove until no dirt or makeup is still visible. It leave my skin feeling super cleansed, radiant, nourished and just lovely. I would 100% recommend this to anyone and everyone and this will work on oily/problematic skin types and also the dry, sensitive and mature.
This 120ml pot of miracle cleanser costs £34 and that includes 1 x bamboo muslin cloth. This is comparable to any great cleansers I have used and is absolutely worth the slight splurge. I would think this pot would last maybe up to 3 months with a once/day use and I hope that they start bringing out bigger sizes too at some point.
