You know that I am an absolute Too Faced fangirl. I started using their products just a few years ago, and I pretty much adore every product from them I have ever tried. They have that great balance of gorgeous, quirky packaging AND great quality product. Lip-wise, I have always used and loved their melted liquified lipsticks, and have more recently had the pleasure of trying out some of the new shades of the La Creme Color Drenched lipsticks. We have had a bit of a matte lipstick surge over the last year, but creamy lipsticks are never gonna go away so Too faced have zazzed up their current line of color-drenched shades with 10 new shades.
The Color Drenched lipsticks have always been a hit with makeup lovers ; the formula is just easy-to-wear and super luxe so it sits comfortably, hydrates and they still manage a good pigment payoff. If you find the melted formulas too dry and flat , then these are for you! They are formulated with White Lotus Extract which is an antioxidant to soothe and protect the lips and they also contain power peptides which are known to stimulate collagen and help the appearance of a smooth, full lip. I just find in general that a more hydrating lipstick tends to makes looks more plump as they a) aren’t dry and b) gloss/sheen gives the lips dimension.
The original 10 shades of La Creme Color Drenched lipstick are all very…I wouldn’t say boring, but muted ; nudes, roses and brown tones, so the 10 new tones are much welcomed to add some diveristy into the palette. New shades include ethereal blues, deep purples, fuschias and reds & I am absolutely loving them. Favourite shades for me are currently the Berry Naughty & Double Bubble, the Unicorn tears is a strange one on it’s own, but for me it works better mixed with other shades to add iridescence.
