Christmas Ideas | Gifting with Fragrance.

I love my fragrances and if you are like me then there is no time like the present (no pun intended) to buy as there are so many great deals, sets and offers around in the shops and online at the moment. It’s a pretty standard Christmassy gift too, I seem to always buy something smelly for the husband most years (he loves the Acqua Di Parma) and I always love receiving a fragrance too…be it an old favourite or a new nasal discovery. It can be quite hard to buy for people you don’t know very well so maybe stick to the fragrance gifting for those who you know or do a little research into what kind of smells they currently like.

A couple of my new favourites that I have recently discovered thanks to my online favourites, Fragrance Direct, are the gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana ‘The One’ and Gucci ‘Guilty’. I think this could be my first ever D&G fragrance and I used to be massively into my Gucci fragrances when I was at University (RUSH omg!!) but it’s always really nice to discover new fragrances as I can be a little fussy with my scents.

These are both ones I wanted to share with you because not only do they look absolutely gorgeous in their shimmering glitzy bottles, but I think these are both fragrances that are easy-on-the-nose, not too overpowering or heavy in single notes therefore most people would welcome them with open arms.  Dolce & Gabbana ‘The One’ is an oriental floral ; Bergamot, peach & mandarin top notes, Lily, plum, jasmine as the middle notes and vanilla, sandalwood, musk , amber as the base notes. I love the fact that it’s not too sweet and has some lovely muskiness too it. This is my current go-to. Next time you are passing a fragrance shop, go and have a whiff!

Gucci Guilty is another one that I think most people would like and a safe one to purchase as a gift….floral and a bit spicy with mandarin, pink pepper, lilac, geranium, amber & patchouli. Easy on the nose and not too sweet or too strong. The packaging is pretty stunning ; One for all those bling-lovers out there! There is also gift sets/coffrets for most of the fragrances at the moment and this is where you get the little added freebies and extras.

If you like a bargain then do check out Fragrance Direct, especially if you already know a fragrance you are after as the prices are always quite a lot lower than on the high street and they are currently doing free UK Delivery on purchases over £40 (CODE = FREEDEL40). They do all the well known fragrances from Acqua Di Parma, Tom Ford & Cartier plus a huge array of cosmetics too which I didn’t actually realise until recently…think Elemis, Bobbi Brown, BareMinerals, Dermalogica & Creme De La Mer… all at discounted prices too!

Are you hoping for a new fragrance this Christmas? What have you got your beady eyes on?
