Obviously you’ve heard about the Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm collection which has just launched, if you have been conscious and living on planet earth for the last few weeks. They’ve had a huge launch and I’m seeing it everywhere : Charlotte Tilbury tends to hit the nail on the head when it comes to hype and launches, coupled with having gorgeous packaging and amazing campaigns, we tend to go pretty nuts for anything this wonder woman is bringing to the (beauty) table.
The Glowgasm collection is all about that crystal glow : washes of colour that mimic the beautifying effects of euphoria and joy(!) *cough sex*. The limited edition collection consists of 2 face palettes, and one eyeshadow quad and there is also 3 new shades of beauty light wands (not limited edition) and 2 shades of cream eyeshadow (not limited edition).
Lovegasm Palette
I have got my mitts on the gorgeous Lovegasm Palette* so I wanted to show it off to you, give you some swatches, my thoughts and how it looks on me. This is the darker of the two face palettes.
The Lovegasm Palette contains a neutral cocoa bronzer which is more matte-satin in finish, a pop blush which is an illuminating rosy pink, a multiglow powder which can be used to light up any area of the face and eyes and a soft champagne highlighter, again that can be used anywhere and layered onto the skin. You can use any of these anywhere on he face : I LOVE the multiglow (coppery shade) on my eyes, and also the bronzer is great on both eyes and cheeks.
The powders contains lustrous pearl pigments to give that multi-faceted, lit-from-within glow. They also contain clever smoothing polymers that give a subtle soft-focus finish. The pigments in these powders are really beautiful, have a great payoff and are easy to blend and control. I think layering and mixing the shades and textures works really well to get is pretty, customised finish on the skin. I like applying it with her bronzer and blusher brush.
Now the slightly painful part : it’s £60. Charlotte Tilbury is a luxury cosmetics brand so I’m not *too* surprised about this but it is definitely a more splurgey product and a treat yo’self payday gift. The amount of product you get is 4 x 3.8g = 15.2g. As a quick comparison to another blush-highlight-bronze palette out at the moment, the NARS Exposed cheek palette is £46 for 18g of product. Charlotte Tilbury fans will no doubt get getting themselves some of this collection and if you are on the market for a multi-use powder palette for the summer then definitely get yourself down to a counter to have a play with the shades and see how they work for you.
Are you a fan of any of the Glowgasm collection? Do you think you’ll be indulging in anything this season?
