New in Skincare.

I wanted to share with you today my NEW IN SKINCARE post. This was scheduled for a few weeks ago but I help back a little as all that was going on it seemed a little odd to post as one of my first ‘lockdown’ posts but I think the time is ok now plus I know lots of you still want to keep in-the-loop on what’s been coming out and new skincare brands and products on the block.

Some of these products are from brands I’ve known and loved for many years, some totally new to me so I’m having a great time trying them out, shuffling them into my routine when I can and slathering them on.

These are just either my first impressions or a blurb about the product as I can’t, obviously, start using them all at once!

Elemis : I’m LIVING for this Pro-Collagen Rose Hydro Mist! Elemis sent me a bunch of products a few weeks ago and this is the first item I’ve cracked into. Can you believe I had NEVER tried Elemis skincare before this?!

It contains organic rose hydrolat, meditterean algae, rosewater and it acts almost like a serum-treatment. It smells incredible, it sprays really well ; that perfect lightweight mist and it is perfect for me right now as I’m sat at my desk working a lot and the weather has been so warm so it’s great to keep on my desk and use throughout the day to keep my skin really fresh and hydrated. Would highly recommend.

I also have a few cult classics to try from Elemis including that infamous cleansing balm so I will be giving some updates and feedback on how i’m finding everything else really soon.

Sarah Chapman : I’m a big fan of her cult-beauty product the Overnight Facial and haven’t tried too much from her lately so was intrigued by the Glow Illuminating Serum which has been launched to support the Women Supporting Women Initiative. This elixir works to impart instant glow to the skin and also protection against environmental aggressors. I’ve tried this a few times now and I’m really liking it so far.

PIXI. I got sent a whole bunch of their new Hydrating Milky range which all looks really lovely and I have lots to get through. I’ve started using the makeup remover which seems to be great and I’m just diving into the Hydrating Milky Peel as anything to brighten my skin at the moment is much-needed! This is a gentle and moisturising micro-peeling cream that will exfoliate brighten and smooth the appearance of pores. I’ve used it a few times now and I’ve noticed instant results.

SKN-RG Evolution. A brand that is totally new to me and I have their new Blue Diamond Cleanser which I have heard nothing but great things about. This is a calming, soothing and balancing gel cleanser that would be best used as an AM or a second-step in the PM. The diamond blue plankton works to remove pollutants from the skin without stripping or any irritation. From looking at the ingredients, and giving it a quick try on the back of my hand, this seems like a really nice and light refreshing cleanse.

It’s next in line for me to try in my stash of cleansers so a full review will be coming soon!

Antipodes. A couple of new products have dropped from my favourite organic skincare brand lately. One being the Kiwi Seed Gold Luminous eye cream which..for a start is in a HUGE 30ml tub (normal eye creams = 15ml) and I love the texture and that instant bit of radiance it gives when applied. It does contain 23k gold particles to de-stress the skin and also give that all-important instant hit of glow when applied under the eyes. Also contains vitamin C, kiwi seed oil and vivanza grape and kiwi.

They also have launched the incredible Baptise H20 Ultra-Hydrating Water Gel which I have been using for around 2 weeks and I promise you it’s as incredible as it sounds. If you have combination or oily skin or simply like a lightweight hit of hydration then get this on your wish-list immediately. This pink lightweight gel gives the skin a burst of pure hydration with zero residue.

It’s the lightest face gel-cream I’ve ever tried and feels almost watery in texture which I’m into. It contains hyaluronic acid to plump and lock in the hydration and Manuka Honey which is a fabulous anti-bacterial and balancing ingredient. It also has a natural pure plant fragrance of fresh rose ; dreamy all round to be honest and a must-have for warmer days and seasons.

Dr Dennis Gross. The newest range to come from one of my favourite high-tech brands EVER is the wonderful B3 Adaptive Superfoods Stress range. The serum I have just started to use Stress Rescue Super Serum which is all about revitalising tired and stressed skins = HOLLA. It works with key ingredient niacinamide to reduce the appearance of ageing, dull-ness and flare ups that stress can cause. It’s suitable for all skin types from dry > oily and is one of those serums that is good to have on hand for when your skin needs a bit of a change, a bit of love and a bit of calm.

The B3 Adaptive Superfoods Stress SOS Eye Cream is a revitalising and refreshing eye treatment that ragets the big 3 : dark circles, puffiness and fine lines. Also contains key ingredient niacinamide. I’m yet to try it but will report back.

IT Cosmetics This will be the first skincare product I try from IT cosmetics and I have high hopes as I’ve heard always great things about their Confidence In an Eye Cream.

The Confidence In Your Beauty Sleep is their new night cream which promises to restore and leave you with plump and fresh skin upon wakening. I’m yet to try it properly but on the back of my hand and feels really nice and but not overly heavy or greasy like some night creams can. I’m getting stuck into this next week so will of course keep you updated on my first try of It Cosmetics skincare!

Wake skincare. This is totally new brand discovery for me and it’s a modern skincare brand that targets modern living : screen time, stress (!), high impact living and working, pollution, long hours etc etc.

They do a simple capsule collection that is made up of an eye gel, a face cream and a face mask. Love the fully recyclable packaging and simple look and I can’t wait to try out this range. For every product sold, Wake donate to help victims of domestic violence ; they donate 5% of net profits to Women’s Aid.

So that’s all the skincare goodness that has landed on my desk over these last few weeks. It kind of all came at once so I’ll be churning through it as and when I can. I’m really excited to try out lots of new products as I feel like my routine has been in a bit of a rut for a while and it needs mixing up!

Are you familiar with any of these new products yet? I’d love to know your thoughts.
