Smokey Eyes with Makeup Atelier Eyeshadow Palette.

Makeup Atelier Paris is a brand which has been getting a fair bit of attention lately, and quite rightly so. Professional formulas, makeup artist and user-friendly and great quality. I have used a bunch of their products including their waterproof foundation, their concealers, the amazing long wear liquid lip colours and also the eyeshadow palettes which have all been really great and fast-tracked straight into my professional makeup kit.

It is a french makeup range that was designed with makeup artists in mind, so no scrimping on quality and long wear formulas are throughout the range whether it comes to eyes, base or lips.

I am using the eyeshadow palette ‘T17 Spices’ which is a really great warm palette which isn’t my usual boring coppery browns and nudes ; it has golden tones, yellows, peach and plums, cranberries. A really interesting combination of colours and you can get some really versatile looks with it. The finish on all these shades is slightly pearlescent, I think one of them could have been more matte so you can get a slightly heavier smokey eye. The payoff is incredible for the shadows…almost a creamy finish on the skin and super easy to blend. Better than MAC, similar to Urban Decay.

The palettes are very makeup artist friendly as you can actually de-pot the shadows by popping them out with a pin through the back. Really handy for a Z Palette. I have maybe 4 of these palettes and think I could get all of them into one large Z palette.

I have been wearing mainly the cranberry shade and the deep purple shade on a daily basis…really love a reddish colour on blue/green eyes…it makes the eyes *POP* so much (try it, trust me) and I have created a quick look using the whole palette on my eyes. A kinda purple smokey eye..but more interesting with the peach/yellow tones.

The Makeup Atelier eyeshadow palettes cost £25 and is available on their website.
