The prettiest hair straighteners I ever did see.
ghd launched the Platinum Copper range a few months ago you probably know about them as ERRR’ONE seemed to have them and were sharing this on Instagram as you sat there with yer’ big sad face (I’m talking about me btw). This is the newest shade and a beautiful pinterest-friendly gold-copper shade, with copper-shimmer infused into the plates for every hair-obsessed person out there.
We all know ghd’s….we’ve all used ghd’s, however you may not be familiar with the Platinum range ; I know I certainly wasn’t, as I have always used the simple original black ones < I’ve had *those* heroes for like 10 years now. I was lucky enough to be sent a pair so I have been trying them out, creating some styles and staring at them on my dresser.
WHY ARE THEY SO GOOD?
The platinum stylers use ‘tri-zone’ technology which is basically 3 sensors in EACH plate to optimise the use and maintain the optimum temperature of 180 degrees across the whole plate. This in turn, reduces any breakage as you style , adds shine and smoothness to your hair and promotes keeping your hair healthy. No more dry or brittle feels post-straightening ; we’ve all been there > HAIIII crispy fried hair.
They have a wishbone hinge for perfect plate alignment and the floating plates also allow easy curls to be created if that’s your preference. I prefer a soft wave through my hair as opposed to all straight as I’m really fine-haired, and it’s super quick to create that tousled-bed-head look with these.
These stylers also have a universal voltage so you can use these anywhere in the world. For safety there is an automatic switch-off after 30mins of no-use.
THE PREMIUM GIFT SET:
If your old straighteners are losing their game a little bit then these could be the perfect kit to upgrade to ; you obvs get the brilliant straighteners with this set, but also a slightly snazzy clutch bag to keep them in/travel with to keep them protected AND this clever little thing can also be used as a heat mat for your straighteners too. Yay for your carpet. There is also a cute Nails Inc polish that’s a matching copper in shade for the die-hards out there.
It’s a really great little set and costs £175 but pssssss they are currently on sale for just £155 so head over to the ghd website to have a nosey and get them on your wishlist, valentine’s list, payday list.
MY GHD STYLING.
Below are a couple of styles I whipped up using the ghd’s. Classic, straight and then a tousled, messy up-do which is one of my favourites. I have quite fine hair so I find putting curls, braids and lots of hairspray works wonder when styling hair to give it some texture and volume ; also dry shampoo is your best friend if you have fine / flyaway hair before you style!
