We have quickly become a nation of skincare junkies amirite?!! I’ve seen such a surge of interest in skincare in the years that I have been blogging and it’s VERY noticeable in the last couple of years in particular.
From being basic bitches who just used to swash a bit of wash and then face cream on their faces a decade ago (speak for yourself, Laura), we are now 10-step skincare kweens who know which acids to layer with what and we can de-bunk an ingredients list in around 0.87 seconds give or take.
So when it comes to gifting skincare, the world is kind of your oyster, it can be super overwhelming if you aren’t that skincare savvy yourself so I’ve selected some EASY SKINCARE. Things and products that aren’t too skin type specific that will work for most! Prices ranging from £ to £ so hopefully something for everyone’s budget.
Let’s jump in head first!
Emma Hardie Plump & Glow Hydrating Mist (£42) Ultimate hydrating and glow from a quick spritz of this mist that will leave skin feeling revitalised, refreshed and soothed. This is incredible for this time of year and will slip into everyone and anyone’s skincare routine. Contains hyaluronic acid, aloe vera and water mint and also will act like a protective film over the skin to protect it from environmental aggressors.
Aurelia CBD Super Serum (£72) One of my favourite discoveries of this year has to be this serum from Aurelia. I’m already on my second bottle and it’s incredible! This potent serum is blended with pure crystallised CBD isolate, hyaluronic acid, omegas 6 and 9 and hemp extract. YES PLEASE.
Aurelia miracle Cleanser (£42) An incredible cream cleanser that is super refreshing and I love it in the morning just as much as in the PM for full makeup removal. Contains chamomile, eucalyptus, rosemary and bergamot and this smell just brightens me up and clarifies my mind and skin. Can be used all over the face and eyes.
PIXI Rose Ceramide Cream (£24) I have spoken about this quite a lot over the years and it’s still one of my favourite PIXI skincare products, also a winter skincare must-have! Soothing, super nourishing and just calms my skin down when it’s all over the place.
Period Faace Mask (£22.50) Hormonal, blemished, troublesome skin? Then this incredible gel mask will work to decongest, soothe and calm the skin when it most needs it! An S.O.S mask and honestly, I don’t have anything else like it in my arsenal of masks and that’s a *VERY* bold statement!
Elemis Pro-collagen Marine Cream (£87) A cult classic face cream and one I only got to try this year! It’s a really good all-rounder and just one that is a great gift because everyone knows and loves a bit of Elemis!
Elemis Superfood Cleansing Butter (£30) A real treat in a jar! This cleansing butter is rich, gorgeous and so lovely to use. You can remove makeup with it, use it as a mask and it also contains pumpkin enzymes and AHA’s to really slough off any dead skin cells to reveal brighter, smoother skin.
Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask (£26.99) One of my favourite all-round masks and one I think is such a great gift as it really will work on everyone! It cleanses, it soothes, it decongests, it hydrates, it will dump your boyfriend.
Antipodes Kiwi Seed Gold Luminous Eye Cream (£45.99) This is perfect for the fallout of 2020. This is all about brightening and giving glow back to that tired and delicate under eye area. Contains Vitamin C and 24 karat gold flakes to give us that radiance and pamper well all need!
Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cleanser (£32) This is such a popular cleansing and seems to sell out ALL the time! It’s a super gentle and calming cleanser that is perfect for sensitive and transitional skin. Also, if you are unsure of someone’s skin type, this ticks all the boxes and can work well on anyone!
Alpha H Liquid Gold (£33.50) The cult classic and original exfoliating tonic. This uses Glycolic acid to resurface, brighten and nourish the skin. Can be used every PM or when your skin needs that brightening boost : always remember your SPF in the day!
FOREO U.F.O Masking Device (£249) For the ultimate skincare junkie who seemingly has everything! I have had my Foreo U.F.O a few years now and I still love it! It’s inspired by Korean sheet masks and uses mini sheet mask that you apply over the device and then massage directly onto the face. The device then works for 90 seconds and heats, cools and uses LED lights to make the most of your mask and really penetrate it into your skin. I think it’s super clever, it feels incredible, I love the way you control it from your phone and it has loads of masks to choose from.
Omorovicza Magic Moisture Mist (£68) This is SUCH a luxurious skincare range and tbh pretty much anything from this brand will please the savviest of skincare junkies. Their Queen of Hungary Mist is one of my favourite summer / warmer season facial sprays as it’s so refreshing but when my skin is transitional and drier, this moisture mist is utterly incredible/
Ole Henriksen C-rush Brightening Gel Creme (£36) This is an incredible face cream and I love it on my combination skin as it just feel so lightweight and residue-free. I think this is also why makeup artists love it as a skin prep as it sits so well under makeup too! This is a vitamin C based brightening, invigorating and hydrating cream-gel.
