I love a cream blusher and as soon as I clapped eyes on the new Benefit Dandleion Dew, I knew it had to be mine. This is one of the newest blusher from Benefit and it is a cream formula of their infamous Dandelion powder ; so a soft, baby-pink flush of colour.
I like a cream in the summer, particulary when I am wearing a lighter, fresher base and I find they just give more of a dewy and natural finish. The Dandelion Dew liquid blush has quite a thick cream texture and you can build the colour up to tailor it to how you like it and the finish is semi-matte.
Although it has a more matte, velvet-like finish it still gives a wonderful healthy glow to my skin and I am really loving it as an every-day hint of subtle colour. It is quite a soft pink, bordering on a slightly blue tone, which I really like on my skin, however because of the pale-ness of this blusher, I would recommend you try before you buy, as this will not work on everyone. Paler skins will love this shade.
Application with cream blushers can be with your fingertips or a brush, I think it’s just whatever you personally prefer and what YOU find easier and more convenient. I like a brush, as I just think you can get a slightly better finish and no colour staining on the hands! I usually just use whatever brush I used for my foundation, which is more often than not, this little beauty from Crownbrush.
The packaging is so pretty and 100% was a huge factor into me buying it the first place, it is very boudoir-chic in a really pretty green metallic pump bottle. I am hoping/thinking this could be the start of a long line of the box o’ powders being developed into a cream formula. They have already done it with Hoola, Dandelion…..and I would LOVE to see a Coralista version of this.
The Dandelion Dew is priced at £19.50.
