Vichy recently launched some new cleansers into their Purete Thermale range which are gentle, effective and will cater for anyone’s cleansing needs. In the range there is 5 different cleansers and waters… I am oily/combination and a touch on the dehydrated side at the moment so I have opted for the Purete Thermale Fresh cleansing gel and the innovative and quite brilliant Beautifying Cleansing micellar oil.
These cleansers have been designed to work on the most sensitive of skins and provide optimum skin comfort. As always with any Vichy skincare these are made with Vichy thermal spa water and is hypo-allergenic, paraben-free and dermatologically tested.
The Fresh Cleansing Gel is the perfect AM shower face wash. It’s just basically lightly refreshing and cleansing the skin very gently to remove any excess sebum production and grime that may have gathered on the skin as you’ve been sleeping. I always wake up with a bit of a greasy feeling on my skin, so have to use something every AM to make it feel clean again. It is lightly foaming and smells, feels lovely on the skin but this isn’t your PM cleanser as it isn’t for makeup removal.
Now onto a slightly more special cleanser ; The Beautifying Cleansing Micellar Oil. This is a lovely lightweight cleansing oil that not only contains ahem.. oil (camelia oil) but in the heart of this formula is ‘Micelles’ which as we know from all the cleansing waters out there, removes waterproof makeup, dirt and grime swiftly and easily. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily as on contact with water, the formulas turns into milk and then can be splashed off with water. I still will use a warm cloth to remove as it just opens up the pores and makes my skin feel really cleansed and lovely. Just 2 pumps of this will remove my full face of makeup easily.
TIP: Always use cleansing oils directly onto dry skin, massage, then add water. This will lift of the dirt a lot more effectively.
What’s even more impressive about this cleanser is that for me, this is comparable to Shu Uemura cleansing oils and ml for ml it’s quite a bit less. I’ve found it on Escentual for just £11.65 at the moment.
What is your favourite AM and PM cleansers at the moment? I honestly think cleansing is the most important part of my routine and spend the most ££ on getting it right!
