This is the latest line of products to launch from KIKO is the stunning ‘Rebel Romantic’. Collection. In a summery ; whimsical, soft-focus, candlelit and rose gold. The packaging is some of the best I have seen for a while from KIKO and probably like you, I go a little soft for anything that has pretty rose gold packaging.
As always with the KIKO seasonal collections there is a vast amount of product, including bronzers, bouncy (!) blushers, a contouring pencil set, eyeshadow quads, eye kohls, liquid liners, lipsticks, serums and brushes. Phew…yeah around 50 products to get your grubby mitts on. The prices are pretty much un-surpassable for the quality of product and I am such a big KIKO devotee and user…this collection lives up to the expectations for me and I’m totally sold by the pretty packaging.
Key products for me have to include the Contouring pencil set. This is a duo of oversized cream pencils that has a contour (matte brown) shade and a highlight (slight sheen of cream) colour. They do two different colours for lighter and darker skin tones. Contouring can be a tricky one anyway and I find using these pencils really easy to place the product and the creamy formula makes it easy to build up and blend away any mistakes.
I also love the Potion Perfecting serum. This reminds me, along with a few other products too, of the Charlotte Tilbury products….just the name and the rose gold look and feel. The actual product is totally up my street as it is lightweight and gives a beautiful subtle dewy finish. It also contains hyaluronic acid which instantly plumps and smooths the skin. I have been using this instead of primer to give a radiant glow to my skin. LOVE.
The Intensely Lavish lipsticks have a wonderful buttery formula with good colour payoff and I like the magnetic shut packaging, they feel a lot more expensive than what they are. The small embossed pattern on the side of the lippies is a nice luxe touch too.
Finally, one of the must-have products from the Rebel Romantic collection is the Liquid Intense eyeliner. I haven’t taken snaps of it but OMG I was trying out the brown shade (they do 4 shades) last night on my hand, I’ve showered twice since and it’s very much still on my hand. So yes, very long wear and I am really loving this brown colour for myself.
