HIYA FRIENDS. I *have* to share with you the lowdown on the latest Urban Decay launch : The Urban Decay Naked Cyber Eyeshadow Palette. This launched just last week and I got it a few days pre-launch and have had some time to try out all the shades, do some eye looks and of course, the all-important swatches for you to see!

‘Dreamy, Shimmery Neutrals and Reflectives Duochromes’

The Urban Decay Naked Cyber Eyeshadow palette is different from anything I have seen from Urban Decay for a long time : it’s fairly neutral and very much a soft shimmer palette.

The colours are all pretty soft and wearable…..it’s easy-on-the-eye (pun intended). There is, of course, that random rusty red at the end which seems a little unusual, but it seems to work really well in pulling looks together and layering underneath as a base. I’ve seen lots of people using this like an eyeliner too which looks really good.

The packaging is one of my favourites of the Naked palettes : I REALLY love this one! It’s bright and eye catching. Shot through with iridescent hues and neon flashes of colour, it’s exciting and has that sci-fi-esque feel to it….but modern and fun.

SWATCHES OF THE URBAN DECAY NAKED CYBER EYESHADOW PALETTE:

So the swatches below are normal/dry and then wet also. I do think this palette works really well doing both – layering and building the shades. The red ‘Byte’ is great used wet as an eyeliner. I also like to press the shimmers on dry with my fingertips to really show that shimmer and iridescence.

My favourite shades from the Urban Decay Naked Cyber Eyeshadow palette are Electrode, Gadget , Call I.T, Static and Byte.

REVIEW OF THE URBAN DECAY NAKED CYBER EYESHADOW PALETTE:

I know for some hardcore UD fans this may be too subtle and soft. I also think this will appeal to others who usually find the brighter/bolder UD palettes a little ‘scary’!

I think the quality of the shadows is pretty good. They are soft when applied as powders, but the key to these I really think is to use eyeshadow primer and use these shadows wet to get the best finish from them. I use a bit of the Urban Decay Setting Spray on the smaller end of the dual-ended brush and find this works perfectly with the wet shadows. You can also layer the wet shadow under dry and really experiment with the colours and finishes. Have fun with it!

The formulas are all vegan, perhaps what we will be seeing from Urban Decay going forward, as this was also the case with the recent Urban Decay Naked Wild West which I have a full review of here btw!
