The newest hydration cream from Murad is one you may have seen doing the rounds lately. I received in a few months ago now and have used it A LOT and wanted to share with you why it’s so fabulous and why everyone probably needs this cream in their skincare arsenal!

The MURAD Intense Recovery cream is a clinically proven comforting and hydrating cream for face and eyes. It reduces the signs of stress-induced ageing (fine lines, dehydration, redness, flakiness, dullness) and will automatically soothe and comfort the skin. It’s an S.O.S balm, a soothing cream, a put-the-fire-out kinda cream.

Formulated for anyone suffering from extreme dryness, Murad’s moisturiser is designed to provide relief to irritated, flaky areas. Working to restore balance to stressed-out complexions, it’s a restorative, revitalising blend of nourishment that helps to offset the effects of harsh external environments.

This indulgent face cream is enriched with science-backed Microalgae Extract, which targets the appearance of fine lines, helping to smooth the look of these signs of stress and tension. It also encourages your skin to naturally recover from dryness while working to relieve redness for a seemingly healthier finish. Added Shea Butter and Macadamia Oil act as an intensive moisturiser, locking in hydration for a soothed surface while Mirabilis Jalapa Plant Extract has a calming effect for a sensation of long-lasting comfort.

It is a pale mint green in shade, it feels quite rich and balm-like in texture but it really absorbs in well to the skin, it definitely doesn’t feel greasy or heavy and it sits well under makeup. It sinks into the skin, and you automatically feel that it’s doing *something* and I definitely found it calming and it just feels really nice. It has a light scent, I almost find it menthol / fresh.

This is a cream that initially I wasn’t sure I would need or use so much but honestly it’s one of my current favourites and I use it A LOT. I’m not typically dry, red or irritable (skin not personality, that’s a different story) but I do get dehydration, mornings when I feel a little sore and my skin unloved, and after a good round of masks and exfoliation is incredibly soothing and calming. It’s one of those creams that is easy to reach for, works well with other brands, serums and products and is just….a YES cream! It would be great for all/any skin types just to have on the back-burner for as and when you need it.

I’ve been using it more as a day cream as I’m enjoying my oils in the PM but it can be anytime in your routine, day or night. Also, you *can* actually use this around the eye area too to soothe and nourish. I actually didn’t know that until I was swotting up on the finer details just now, so that’s pretty interesting!

It’s priority is to rebuild the skin barrier, increase those hydration levels and soothe redness. We all need that little comfort from a moisturiser at some time and this will absolutely do the job. For some, this will be an every day cream, if you are prone to sensitivity, dryness and redness it’ll be perfect! Day, night, with whatever serum you fancy or no serum…..wham, bam thankyou ma’am.

I took these fancy texture shots when first cracked into this pot of cream. Just as an FYI I’m VERY much touching the bottom now (as the photo below shows!) and it’s one I will absolutely and 100% purchase when I run out.

The MURAD Intense Recovery Cream costs £68 for a 50ml tub, but if you use it as I do/have then it will last you a good 4-6months. If you need it as a daily treatment then it would probably get you to 3 months.

In even more exciting news you can actually swipe one of these face creams for just £54.39 over on LookFantastic when you use my code LAURA_LF on checkout. This gives you 20% off on *most* products on the site, however there are some exemptions. Knock yourself out! SHOP HERE.
