Going on holiday anytime soon?
A cheeky lil’ stop-off in World Duty Free is always on the cards for me after I’ve slogged my way through security, as there is always good savings to be had, loads of great brands AND they have lots of travel exclusives that you can only get your filthy little mitts on. It tends to be cheaper as the goods don’t have ‘duty tax’ on top of the price, hence why you’ll often see up to 20% off on luxury goods.
I always swing by the MAC counter, that’s a given. I can’t resist a top-up my favourite Ruby Woo lipstick and they also have some great and exclusive eye palettes like this seriously gorgeous Rockin’ Rebel palette which is giving me all the azure holiday vibes…if you can’t wear these dreamy blues and greens with a glowing tan, then when can you?!
You already know my no.1 lip colour in the entire world and all time don’t you? Well it’s the NARS Dragon Girl velvet matte lip pencil and World Duty Free do an exclusive NARS #Jetsetter Lip Trio Set that has this stunning red, alongside the best-selling Dolce Vita and a limited edition satin lip pencil shade ‘Jardin Des Tuileries’ which is a creamy soft pink. A great saving of £22 for this pretty cover-all-bases lip set as these pencils are individually £21.
I’ve been shouting out about the newest foundation from Bobbi Brown for a while now and the Skin Long-wear Weightless Foundation SPF15 is perfect for keeping put on your face with it’s long lasting and oil-free formula that feels and looks like a second skin. Humidity and balmy nights have nothing on this bad boy. Swing by the Bobbi counter to get your perfect match from 30 shades.
Holiday skin is nothing without that illustrious glow and Urban Decay have got you absolutely sorted with their Afterglow Highlighting palette which is available at World Duty Free with a nice saving of £4.55 (around 15% off). This quad of highlighters contains all the shades you will ever need for eyes, face and body on all skin tones to enhance that skin colour and give your your healthiest, dewiest, brightest skin EVER!
In any normal situation, Tom Ford fragrances are a huge splurge with their private blend range starting at £158. Thankfully there are savings to be had en route to the Costa Del Sol, so you can pick up that delicious Neroli Portofino for a healthy £126, which is *almost* justifiable after a couple of glasses of prosecco. Perfect for when you are squashed around that pool at the all-inclusive hotel that says it was a 5, when really it’s a 2 and you can simply spritz this on, close your eyes and imagine you are on a yacht being wafted by Joaquin off the Cote D’Azur.
Another gorgeous range of summer scents are the Acqua Di Parm Blu Mediterraneo which are the fresh, lighter eau de toilettes distinguished by the sea-blue bottles. Arancia di Capri is a wonderful and uplifting unisex scent of orange, mandarin & lemon essential oils. Persuade the boy to buy it and then steal it all holiday.
Last up to finish your holiday beauty aesthetic is a slick of smudge and budge proof mascara and I am currently championing the latest one from Benefit : the Bag Gal Bang Mascara. You can pick up a saving of nearly £3 on this mascara at the airport and they also do weeny sizes if you want it just for holiday.
I am such a sucker for designer sunnies and I usually wait until I am at the airport to pick up the latest design and get a really good saving, as we all know this can be an expensive habit. I pretty much buy a pair every time I am in duty free and these stunning Chanel Sunglasses were the last pair I got and am still loving! PS Remember that holiday insurance peeps!
