Last Minute Father’s Day Gift Ideas.

This Sunday, 17th June.
Whether it be for your own dad, the father to your children or someone who is like a dad, here are some Father’s Day gift ideas for the man in your life of any age and most tastes.

Fragrance is always an easy and obvious gift for guys, and it’s something I always buy my husband and father-in-law that is well-received. Acqua Di Parma is one of my go-to fragrance brands as they do some amazing unisex scents and their men’s range is one of the best out there. Colonia is their signature go-to scent (citrus, lavender and super fresh) but for a little extra oomph then definitely check out their ‘Concentree’ range which is their prestige and luxury scents. Colonia Ambra (£175) is insanely gorgeous and is possibly THE best men’s scent in the world. Notes of Ambergris (whale vomit – yes google it), orange, bergamot, cedar wood and sandalwood combine for the ultimate sensual and warm scent.

CUFFLINKS. Ok, maybe an obvious one, but these are quite a fun gift, particularly if you venture off the beaten path and get some unique and unusual, or even personalised ones. These foxy friends pictured are what my husband wore on our wedding day and I love how unusual they are and a little bit of a conversation starter at a party. You can get them from around £20 from places like Not On The High Street which is a good place to start.

Men love a good cardholder, and I am actually a recent covert as they are so much easier to carry than my previous bulky wallets. I searched high and low to find a cardholder for my husband ; I wanted one that was luxury, but not *designer* branded (it’s not his taste), I wanted it to be good quality leather and I wanted it to look cool and stylish. Liberty’s of London have such a good range of their own brand luxury wallets and leather goods with amazing prints, seasonal colours and great styles. The one pictured is a present I purchased my husband last year and I think it was around £80 (and I *may* have treated myself to one also), although this particular colour & style is sold out but there are some other colours (now in the sale – yay) of a similar style right here.

L’Occitane have some great men’s sets this year and a great (& not too expensive) gift is the Men’s Travel Collection (£20) which contains all the bits & bobs that the man in your life may need for this year’s summer holidays. It contains a face cream, a soap / body wash, shower gel, shampoo and a shaving gel. It all smells glorious and fresh, the packaging is beaut, just prepare to be buying full-sizes of it all next time around!

Anthony Hair + Body wash is my husband’s favourite body wash and it’s a super refreshing, invigorating AM perk-me-up wash. It contains eucalyptus, Birch Leaf and Canadian Balsam which in combination will energise, refresh and soothe the skin. Kiehls’s do a great range of skincare for men, and it’s what I’ve used in my grooming kit for many years. The Facial Fuel Range (from £10) is for all skin types and has a lovely lightweight and energising feel to it so perfect for the skincare-regime-phobes. Onto the hair and the Malin + Goetz Sage Styling Cream (£19) is a natural hold styling aid that gives light shine, texture and definition to all hair types. It can be used on wet and dry hair and contains sage + verbena which freshen the hair and scalp, and also shea butter and sweet almond extract to moisturise and hydrate. A good all-rounder, and a great little gesture gift if your dad has hair like Poldark or just wishes he does.

Something a little different? Why not a glorious fancy-pants candle? The Diptyque Baies is a best-seller for good reason as the unisex scent is fresh, not overpowering and works in all rooms in the house. They do the slightly larger 300g sizes (£62) which come in coloured glass jars and the Baies scent is black which looks great sitting in the most discerning of man caves.

Have you got anything to celebrate Father’s Day? Do you buy gifts or is it just a card kinda-vibe?
