Spring Makeup Look | Fresh Skin & Bright Coral Lips.

It’s *that* time of year when I start getting the tan on my skin to warm up a bit and find myself feeling more summery (& happier!) with the brighter evenings and seemingly longer days thanks to the clocks going back. When the sun is shining more, I always find myself dipping into my coral lip shades and fresher, brighter colours…not only does my makeup brighten up a notch but I also step into a few ‘non-black/dark grey’ items of clothing. Go me.

The Too Faced Chocolate Semi-Sweet palette (full review) is one of my favourite palettes and I *think* I prefer it to the original one in terms of colours and suitability to me. The shadows are buttery soft and easy to blend and have really great pigment quality.  I used 4 of the warmer-tones in this look, which are marked below, I love these slightly orange/copper tones on my blue eyes as it really brightens them and makes them appear more blue. I’m loving NARS Sheer Glow at the moment and this was a real slow-starter for me…I quite literally despised it when it first launched, and I couldn’t get it to work on me or my clients but for some reason I’m really liking it at the moment ; have they changed formula I wonder? With a bright lip like this, I try and keep the skin or eyes more muted to make it stand out, and as the eyes are still relatively heavy, I kept the cheeks just lightly flushed with a swish of this KIKO blusher as it has both blush and bronzer vibes to it so an easy all-rounder. The main event is the lips with the lovely red/orange lippie from KIKO. A nice pigmented and buttery finish, this lipstick is from their core range so not a limited edition or anything.

Do you switch up your makeup looks seasonally? I think it’s just a natural progression as our wardrobe and the weather changes.
