Nude doesn’t have to be boring. The two new limited edition palettes from Bobbi Brown are celebrating all things NUDE-ish : one palette is filled with cool, pinky tones and the other, the one we all know and love : the warmer, coppery tones. GIMME.
The Rosy Nudes Edition Palette is an array of rich and rosy nude shades for all occasions. slightly more of a cooler tone palette overall and for me, this is a slightly more daytime look palette.
The Bronzed Nudes Edition Palette is a touch warmer than the rosy palette and contains a mix of rich, metallic and sparkle nudes that is perfect for going from day to night in a few sweeps.
Each palette contains 10 shades with two larger sizes being the neutral base shades. They both contain different textures and finishes of eyeshadow and if you are lacking inspiration for new eye looks you get a handy leaflet/guide inside with some different looks to help you get motivated. The palettes don’t contain an applicator / brush which is absolutely FINE by me because a) more space for shadows b.) they get chucked immediately anyway.
In total you are getting 21.6g of product in each palette / priced at £39.50.
MY NUDE-Y LOOK.
I used the Bronzed Nudes Edition palette for this sultry smokey eye ; it’s grown-up glamour, easy-to-wear (and apply!) and the ‘Pink Copper’ shade gives a lovely pop of sparkle.
A softer smokey eye using deep browns and taupes is often more flattering and wearable than if you opt for the classic black, grey smokes so this palette is perfect for all eye colours and also if you don’t want to go smokey without going TOO heavy.
Shades I used: Bone (one of the BEST neutral base shades, I’ve been using this over 10 years FYI!), Copper Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Black Chocolate and Pink Copper.
A smokey eye looks as good with a bold lip as it does a nude, but I opted for my favourite Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color in shade ‘Baby’ ; a perfect rosy pink. I have swatched EVERY single one of these glorious Bobbi Brown lipsticks FYI so click on that link to see the full range of shades.
What are you thinking of this smoky eye look? As I have mentioned, both these Nude palettes are limited edition so grab one, or both, whilst you can as they will sell out quickly. I tend to use my basic nude palettes and shades SO much more than the fancy, bright and fashion shades….even in my kit.
