Yep, that’s right. It’s time to dig up those brighter, fresher lip shades for SPRING…which, I am told, is already upon us in the UK. Rain, grey days and cold weather aside, there is nothing better to brighten up your face than a lovely bright slick of colour.
I have always likes my oranges and coral shades so I am drawn to these when my skin gets a bit more of a (now fake) tan. Something new to my makeup bag, but sticking with me for this season is the gorgeous BUXOM Plumpline lip liner in shade ‘Intrigue’ which is a pure, lovely coral, and instantly gives me that much-needed lift.
These lip pencils are a new and clever formula of liner, that can be worn as your typical liner OR as an all-over lip colour which is how I wear it. It’s a jumbo pencil so it doesn’t take to long to cover the full lip in colour and there is also a lip brush on the other end to soften and blend it if you need. It is a matte formula and finish so definitely prep the lips before if you struggle with matte lip colours or you have dry lips.
Makeup Artist Tip : For an alternative finish with these colours, simply dab the liner on the lips, dip the brush and in your favourite lip balm and merge it over the top to create a glossy, tinted balm effect.
