Ole Henriksen Strength Trainer Peptide Boost Moisturiser.
‘A daily moisturiser—made with peptides, amino acids, ceramides and collagen—that instantly doubles hydration, boosts elasticity and improves the look of fine lines and wrinkles, while also reinforcing your skin’s moisture barrier all day.’
This is the latest launch from Ole Henriksen and one I was super excited for. I have been using this cream for just over 3 weeks now and I want to share with you my thoughts and give you a quick overview of the Ole Henriksen Strength Trainer Peptide Boost Moisturiser, what it does and who it’s for. As in the name, this is a peptide moisturiser but has a cocktail of ingredients to benefit and strengthen the skin.
What is a peptide?
It’s a bit of an ‘in’ word in the skincare world at the moment, but peptides are something that have been used and loved in skincare for decades!
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as building blocks of proteins such as collagen, elastin and keratin. These proteins are the foundations of your skin and are responsible for its texture, strength and resilience. Without peptides, our skin is less ‘intact’ which can lead to a loss of firmness, the appearance of wrinkles, a change in texture and less ‘bounce’.
When applied topically to the skin, peptides act as little messengers, triggering skin cells to perform specific functions such as building collagen and elastin, encouraging skin to look and act younger.
Ole Henriksen Strength Trainer Peptide Boost Moisturiser.
Described as ‘a personal trainer for your skin’, this vegan, nutrient-rich moisturiser deeply hydrates and strengthens your moisture barrier and helps skin to hold onto moisture better.
The moisture barrier that is often talked about is the outer most layer of your skin and it’s first line of defense. It can easily be compromised due to many factors such as environmental aggressors, sun and pollution and once weakened it can leave you with more dull, irritated and dry skin.
The Ole Henriksen Strength Trainer is made with the powerful ingredients your skin craves such as amino acids, peptides, ceramides, collagen and hyaluronic acid. The results = smoother, more hydrated, more firm and glowing skin.

Who is the Ole Henriksen Strength Trainer Suitable for?
Suitable for all skin types! I think it really is. I am combination and a bit dehydrated and it balances my skin really well. I think it would be great on both a dryer and an oilier skin (just use a more targeted serum to your skin type underneath). This will work away to repair and strengthen your skin barrier which we all need.
How to use the Ole Henriksen Strength Trainer :
After serum, apply evenly to face and neck AM and PM. I am sing this both AM and PM at the moment but you can use it and/or for sure. However it slots into your skincare routine.
My thoughts after 3 weeks of use:
I have been using the Ole Henriksen Strength Trainer Moisturiser for just over 3 weeks now and I m really enjoying it. The texture is perfect for my skin : it feels like a lovely nourishing cream, but applies like a melting gel-cream and feels very lightweight yet ‘enough’ on the skin. I can’t wear anything overly rich on a day-to-day basis so this is the perfect cream for me. It absorbs in well, it leaves the skin with a bit of a glow and it sits very well under makeup.
This is what I would say is an ‘easy’ face cream : you can use it day and/ or night (which I have been), it works well with any serum I have tried with it and it’s just inoffensive. It has a very light fresh scent which is pleasant and it has great ingredients. I think this is now my favourite face cream from Ole Henriksen. I think a really great combination would be the Vitamin C rush cream in the day and perhaps this in the PM – I do really love a hit of Vitamin C too for brightening the skin. Saying that, I also love the combination of using the strength trainer OVER the Truth Serum : banging combo right there!
