Kicking of the 1st of 4 posts coming at chu’ this week celebrating and showcasing all my top beauty picks of 2017. first up : Bath, Body & Lifestyle. Let’s jump straight in.
Byredo candles. I’m still loving my Byredo…..everything. The candles are possible the best I have ever bought (better than Diptyque yes, wayyyyy better than JM…soz) and they are expensive but they burn SO strong and gram for gram they cost about the same a Diptyque, as they are a little bigger in size. I find the scents they do really interesting, I love their chic Black + White packaging and no.1 at the moment for me is ‘Burning Rose‘. NB, this is no.2 of the year which I just got for Christmas (from myself) so haven’t started burning this one as yet. I’m not one of *those*.
Neal’s Yard Foaming Bath Soaks. You probably know I love my PM soaks in the bath so I go through bath foams & oils by the tonne. I have been absolutely loving two from Neal’s Yard : The Aromatic Foaming Bath (relaxing) and also the Seaweed & Arnica is fabulous for aching and tired muscles.
Crabtree & Evelyn Body Wash. I have mentioned the Crabtree & Evelyn body washes before on here a few times and they are honestly seriously underated. They are super luxurious, a little goes a long way and the scents are divine. Current fave is the Rosewater & Pink Peppercorn which is from one of their newer ranges (& I think the packaging is a lot more modern and appealing!) and it’s just gorgeous, fresh, uplifting and leaves my skin feeling soft.
Malin + Goetz Bergamot Eau De Toilette. The Malin + Goetz scents are new-ish on my radar and I’m kinda liking the fresh, clean scent of Bergamot (unisex) and the way the bottle looks…it’s quite unusual?! This has Bergamot (natch), lime, mandarin, spearmint, cedar and amber = perfect for a daytime, zesty, easy fragrance that isn’t too strong or offensive. I may treat myself to the Dark Rum later this year as that is another gorgeous scent and I love that candle too!
This Works Stress Check Breath-In Rollerball. Aromatherapy works for me, you can possibly gauge this from my choice of favourites, and this little travel-size, carry-around rollerball is perfect for an instant hit of calming, reducing tension & remedy your anxiety. Contains Frankincense, Eucalyptus & Lavender.
Antipodes Hand + Body Cream. There’s just something I love about the rustic looking metal squeezy tube. It’s also easy for travel /handbags AND my kit at just 120ml. They do 3 scents and I switch in between them but I’m currently a’ lovin’ the ‘Delight’ scent which is Gardenia infused with macadamia oil, marigold bloom & avocado oil. Smells dreamy, applies beautifully and as good both for the hands as it is the body. I do hope they start doing them in big pump bottles a la Aesop soon as I do go through them quite rapidly.
Aromatherapy Associates Bath & Shower Oil. I feature these *all* the time on my blog and have for many years. Possibly my most purchased bath/body product EVER and although they are pricey (£45 a bottle) I really find them worth the buck. A bottle gives you 20 baths and as they are first-pressed essential oils, they will hit the bloodstream and actually do something to how you feel : relax you / uplift you / soothe your muscles or mind…depending on which one you opt for. They are literally like my medicine! I have quite a few and alternate between 3 or 4 but my most-used this year is probably Support Equilibrium AKA ‘a hug in a bottle’ for when you are feeling a little blue.
Aesop Post-Poo Drops. Soz but these…I just love and they make me smile. I like the way Aesop products look anyway and these look a lot more attractive than a glade in your bathroom, and also gives your guests something to giggle about. I love giving this as a present too…..to my friends who have a sense of humour and fortunately this is most of them. You need Poo Drops in your life people! Poo drops for the WIN.
