Weekend makeup | Berry Lips & Feline Flick.

This is such a quick and easy look to do that takes minimum effort and products yet always looks like you’ve made the effort. Berry, plum and deep red lip colours are all around at the moment and you can tailor it to suit your skin tone and taste. Let’s face it this colour isn’t for everyone but you can blot it down until you get a colour you are comfortable with. I like a simple eye makeup with a heavy lip, and the clean lid with a sweeping feline flick and lashings of mascara always will work.

I also keep the skin relatively minimal, just nicely evened out and then a pop of bronze and highlight. Here, I haven’t bothered with any blusher either I want all the focus on the bold lip.

There a huge bunch of great colours out there for this kind of lip and here I have used Rimmel 380 Dark Night Waterl-oops. Ok we need to stop right here ; what EVEN is that name about? Is it a pun, is it something funny? I am still scratching my head as I still don’t get it and it’s just a really weird name for a lipstick. Answers on a postcard.

If you haven’t used these Rimmel lippies before they have quite a high sheen, so I would recommend a quick blot with tissue to get a longer wear. Practice getting your liner flick right to suit your eye shape ; some people look better with it tighter along the eye, some can really pull of a heavy duty, thick liner that sweeps really far out. I kind of stick somewhere in between.
