I am always exciting about a new Bareminerals launch as they are one of my favourite makeup brands and they have recently dropped a new lipgloss range, just in time for the summer which are a gloss-balm hybrid. The Bareminerals Mineralist Gloss Balms contain great, nourishing and lip-loving ingredients whilst giving that sheeny pop of fresh colour.
Bareminerals say : ‘Get the best of gloss and balm in one: sheer colour, high-shine and irresistibly soft lips. Loaded with naturally derived ingredients, like sustainably sourced cold-pressed fruit oils, this gloss-balm delivers instant nourishment in a cushiony formula that’s never sticky. Lips feel softer, smoother and more hydrated over time – even after you take it off.’
I have tried various Bareminerals lip gloss formulas over the years and I have always found them to be really good and I still often wear the Gen Nude lip lacquers which are a slightly more pigmented and thicker formula than these.
The Baremineral Mineralist Gloss Balms have launched with 15 shades and are priced at £20.
I got sent 5 of the shades to try out and although none of them are *quite* my shade, I have been wearing LOVE to see how the formula performs and feels. These are a vegan formulas made with naturally-derived sustainably sourced, cold-pressed fruit oils. Both cold-Pressed Sea Buckthorn Oil: Omega-packed to help keep lips feeling nourished and moisturised AND cold-Pressed Plum Oil: Rich in antioxidants that delivers a high-shine finish.
They have a typical gloss feel when applied with a nice glossy shine and comforting feel. The applicator has a slight dip/curve that applies nicely onto the lips in a swipe or two.
These gloss balms are clinically shown to improve lip smoothness, both instantly and over time : 90% said their lips felt instantly hydrated , Delivers up to 50% smoother lips in just 1 week and they also give you that instant hydrations and comfort that a typical lip balm gives.
I am also a big fan of the Bareminerals Mineralist Hydra-Smoothing Lipsticks (which I have reviewed and swatched RIGHT HERE) they also have a lip smoothing and nourishing formula.
