Aromatherapy Associates : Deep Relax.

Ok. These bath & shower oils REALLY work! Like, really. Since the first time I used Deep relax, just over a year ago, I have been a huge fan of Aromatherapy Associates Bath + Shower oils.

They have loads of different scents such as Equilibrium, De-stress, Revive and Deep Relax. Each bottle contains a different blend of oils to promote  your mood in whichever way you want. If I could afford it, I would have a whole library of these in my bathroom so I could pick and chose them every day depending on my mood.

Deep relax is their best-selling and most infamous oil. It is a potent blend of first-pressed essential oils including vetivert, camomile and sandalwood and is my all time favourite and go-to when I’m feeling restless and need a good nights deep sleep.

The way you use these oils, is one capful into your bath (after it has run) and in you get to soak up and inhale the aromatherapy and goodness. The oils sit on the bath water and once you are submerged they absorb into the skin and into the blood stream. Alternatively you can massage one capful straight into the body and then get into the shower.

I always prefer a bath with these though as the whole process of that also helps me unwind. The deep relax really helps me have a proper sleep too, I’m not sure which of the essential oils is responsible, but you really have to try it to believe it. I will have a deep relax bath maybe once every couple of weeks when I need it and about an hour before I go to bed.

The oils are so potent that once you have mixed it into the bath, you can usually smell it throughout the house…I also have a ‘Revive morning’ bath oil from them, which is the uplifting and detox one which I will use before the shower when I’m feeling sluggish in the morning.

A 55ml bottle of this will cost you £37 which is more than what I would spend on a bath oil usually but it is so worth it. You get around 20 single uses out of this bottle, so that works out at about £1.85 per bath/shower.
