April Favourites.

Let’s do this. Monthly Favourites. Beauty, Makeup & my favourite new sunglasses thrown in.

I am feeling so happy at the moment, I love spring coming into summer and all the new gorgeous makeup that comes with it ; so many lovely new shades and brights are around at the moment, and I have had quite a spendy month getting new makeup and beauty products (I just discovered Cult Beauty – dangerous).

Too Faced Mr.Right Perfect Powder Brush. A new-ish launch from one of my fave makeup brands and a really good do-it-all , all-rounder face brush. I love a tapered powder brush (the ones that go slightly pointy at the end – tres trendy @ the moment) and as this is a luxe synthetic hair, you can use it for liquid OR powder and for pretty much anything face makeup related included contouring (great!), bronzing, blush, powder, foundation, highlight and anything in between. He comes with a dapper black bow tie but this can be removed so won’t get in the way of your makeup application.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation (for combination-oily skin)
I picked this up at a press day last month and had never tried it
before. Was super impressed as I don’t often love a high street
foundation formula but this really is up there with some of the best of
them! A lovely coverage and a natural finish. I find it similar to NARS
Sheer Glow.

KIKO Heatwave Lip Oil. This pink lip oil is from their latest limited edition Trend Collection and I took an instant liking to it. The packaging is super pretty but it is just an easy handbag product as it hydrates like a lip balm but gives you the finish of a gloss. It’s a very sheer translucent pink (shade is 02 Vanilla) and is more like a clear gloss than a pink and it has a lovely scent of vanilla. Contains mango butter & jojoba oil.

Too Faced Hangover Primer. I included this in my best primers for radiance last month and it’s been the one I am going for most at the moment as my skin is a touch on the dehydrated side. With the warmer weather too it makes your skin feel fresh and cool and not layered up with makeup.

Urban Veda Radiance Daily Face Wash. I seem to be going through AM cleansers like they are going out of fashion @ the moment ; like one a month?! This is a relatively new brand for me and I really like this gentle fash wash in my morning shower. It is a gel-foaming formula and has a wonderful, aromatic, almost herby smell to it. Contains Tumeric, Papaya, Goji Berry, Liquorice, Orange & Cedar. One for the guys too!

Kerastase Resistance (Therapiste) Shampoo & Conditioner. THIS IS INSANE STUFF. My friend was raving about this on Facebook (she works in hair). I went and bought it in my ridiculous beauty haul last month and it was love after first use. I know new shampoo/conditioner always feels good the first couple of goes as your hair loves to change products up but I am 3/4 weeks in now and it’s just a bit of a game-changer for me. It is for very damaged hair (holla) & the shampoo has a balm-in formula which makes it a really rich gel-oil texture that cleanses well and also help renew the hair fibres. The conditioner is a really lightweight formula that can actually be used pre-shampoo (I’ve not tried yet – only just found this out!) or after as normal conditioner. I have fine/damaged hair so this is great as it doesn’t weight my hair down. A really protective and reparative range. So impressed I have already purchased the mask to go with it.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. I purchased this in my Sephora Haul when I was last in the U.S as I wanted something travel-sized to use. It’s a really nice simple and basic hydrating cream, great for irritated, parched, flakey & dehydrated skin. It’s not something I used daily, but more-so a couple of times a week when my skin needs a hydration boost. Recently my skin had a wee reaction to something and this really did wonders at normalising my skin. I have just used it all up so may buy another one this size again (it’s lasted me like a year!) and it only costs £9 online.

Pure Lavender Oil. This was something I found @ home and is Jersey Lavender essential oil. I ran out of my beloved This Works Pillow Spray lately and thought I would try a few drops of it on my pillow as an alternative and it really works wonders! My husband has really got into it too now so every night we use this and we both are sleeping so well.

Random, as I don’t do fashion but my gorgeous new Quay Australia sunglasses are worth a little nod. I bought into this brand before it got really bloggy and instagram-insane, and I have I think 6 pairs now in my collection and these are the latest which I picked up in Topshop before my bank holiday excursion to Wales last week. I LOVE ‘EM! The colour, the shape the style. They are just so me and they are my current faves. They are the LIVNOW style in the purple/black color way. Quay are a really decent brand as they are affordable (around £25-£30 a pair) and they do SO MANY styles. I know ASOS and a few other online retailers stock them but I always go into Topshop, Oxford Circus so I can try loads on and they seem to have the biggest selection @ that store.

What new products have you been loving lately? Have you tried any Quay sunnies yet?!
