Still kind of summer-ish and the beauty bits are still reflecting ; bright nails, light bases, dewy skin, long wear eye makeup and a dollop of fake tan. I’m not overly faithful with my beauty products, besides a very key handful, so I often chop and change before I even finish a product, which may be bad, but I guess that comes hand-in-hand with being a beauty blogger and cosmetic obsessive….you always want to try the next best thing!
Here are my monthly favourites with a little helping paw from Herman my kitten who wanted to make appearances in the photos!
Skincare/Body
He-Shi Gold Foaming mousse. I have not used the He-Shi body tan until this one and I am really impressed with it. A lovely deep and even tan with no orange hue and I find this really quick and easy to apply with one of the mitts (MUST use for tanning, they are a life-changer I promise).
La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +. An old favourite that I have been using on and off since it launched a couple of years back. Nice and lightweight in texture and keeps the blemishes at bay, this face cream is a daily most-have for open-pored and breakout skin.
Vichy Purete Thermale micellar cleansing oil. This is a really lovely and light cleansing oil that is a perfect PM cleanser and makeup remover in one. Contains ‘micelles’ that are the wonder ingredient in micellar waters that attract dirt and grime like a magnet.
Got2B Oil-licious with Argan Oil. This is a lovely lightweight styling oil infused with Argan that I have just started using into my freshly washed hair whilst damp. If I am air-drying, which I tend to do in the summer, it just dries better and less frizzy. I also put it into dry hair to tame wispies.
Sunday Riley JUNO face oil. One of THE best and most luxurious face oils money can buy (and it ain’t cheap!).. this is the oil that I turn to when my skin really needs a boost of hydration. An S.O.S, if you will. Usually I will just massage a few drops on my skin in the PM and a drop in with my daily moisturiser until my skin is back to normal.
Essie Tart Deco nail polish. Am wearing this colour right now and I love it. A perfect shade of summer coral. Full post and review a’ coming.
Makeup
Dr Perricone No Foundation Foundation. A lovely light tinted base, a bit lighter than a tinted moisturiser. The colour is absolutely perfect for me and it just feels like I am not wearing any makeup. Also has a SPF30. Lazy day makeup wonder.
Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. One of my favourite mascaras of all time. I like something to give instant oomph and volume and this does exactly that. Also it’s a long wear formula so not smudging, gathering or caking underneath your eyes.
Cover FX anti-ageing smoothing primer. A great primer for shiny/oily lids which I get a lot in the summer months. Without these I get really irritated eyes with shadows be it cream or powder and no matter what wearability they are, they will crease! This helps just everything stay right.
MUA Undress Your Skin ‘Opalescent Amber‘. My latest purchase from MUA. The pink tone version is one of my favourite highlighters so though I would give this a try. Gorgeous for enhancing bronzed skin and I’m wearing it almost daily.
Kevyn Aucoin Brunette brow pencil. Have used this for years and years but this is currently my everyday brow-pencil. I chop and change when they run out ; the only downside to this is that it usually will only last me around 6 weeks before it runs out.
KIKO Colour Sphere shadow 04. I purchased a few of these baked shadows a few months back and this is my favourite colour. I literally just apply this across my lid (over my Cover FX primer!) and press it on with my fingertip to give it a really concentrated finish. A lovely sheeny golden bronze.
