The packaging is the same, it’s definitely in the same ‘family’ but WHAT is the Press & Clear all about and do you need it? Let’s chat about it all!

Medik8 Press & Glow.
This is a gentle exfoliating and hydrating toner to give your skin glow and brightness.
This is a gentle PHA toner for all skin types, particularly good if you want something gentle, are new to acids, have had adverse side effects from other acid toners or have sensitive skin. PHA stands for poly hydroxy acids
Press & Glow works in tune with Medik8 vitamin A so you can boost your results without sensitising the skin. Press & Glow is clinically proven to deliver glowing skin in just 2 weeks.
Balance is key when it comes to exfoliating the skin and overuse of powerful exfoliating acids everyday can often lead to sensitisation of the skin and premature skin ageing. PHAs are made up of larger molecules than other exfoliating acids, meaning they do not penetrate into the skin as deeply and instead work on the surface of the skin. This makes PHAs the perfect match for those with sensitive skin, who want to achieve true daily exfoliation while keeping their skin barrier healthy.
Press & Glow Key Ingredients :
5.5% PHA Gluconolactone : A high performing, water-soluble PHA, gluconolactone converts into gluconic acid to gently exfoliate and hydrate the skin, resulting in a visibly more even, smoother skin surface.
Prickly Pear Extract : A natural enzyme activator, it helps to increase the rate of desquamation of the skin, and then the rate of cell renewal. This can help improve the clarity and luminosity of the skin, as well as the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Aloe Vera: Ideal for reducing skin irritation and enhancing the skin’s moisture retention properties, as well as helping to prevent free radical damage.
Acai Extract : It can help to take down inflammation, while protecting the skin from free radical damage.
How To Use Medik8 Press & Glow :
Unlock by twisting the top half of the pump anti-clockwise until it clicks to activate.
- After cleansing in the morning and evening, saturate a pad with the tonic and sweep over the face, avoiding the eye area.
- Twist the pump clockwise until it clicks to secure.
- Can be used twice a day and every day!
Medik8 Press & Clear.
The new kid on the block. This blue-looking tonic is an exfoliating 2% BHA Tonic Gentle-Release Salicylic Acid. This is primarily to clarify the complexion and reduce blemishes.
This is a decongesting powerhouse to keep skin clean and clear but without stripping or sensitivity. This tonic will target multiple skin problems such as blemishes, oiliness, blackheads, pores, uneven skin tone and post-blemish imperfections. Proven to deliver visibly clearer, smoother skin in just 7 days.
Overloading the skin, particularly sensitive, blemish-prone skin, with high strength blemish treatments can result in an impaired skin barrier. Skin becomes susceptible to damage, inflammation and further breakouts. This is why the Press & Clear supports the skin barrier to maintain a healthy complexion
KEY INGREDIENTS:
Gentle-Release 2% Salicylic Acid: This is able to penetrate deep into the pores and clear blockages that lead to congestion. The slow release of salicylic acid avoids discomfort on sensitive skins.
2% Tranexamic Acid : This is a brightening active to even the skin tone and help with post-blemish marks.
Sake Extract & Aloe Vera : Soothe and hydrate the skin, off-setting any dryness that can occur with salicylic acid. The skin barrier is nourished and protected.
How to use the Medik8 Press & Clear.
1.) Unlock by twisting the cap, and press cotton pads onto the pump applicator to dispense the tonic.
2.) sweep over the face, avoiding the eye area.
3.) Twist the pump to close and secure.
4.) this can be used both AM and PM.
Who is the Medik8 Press & Clear for?
Anyone with congested skin, breakouts, post-blemish marks and open pore/oily skins. Including sensitive skin types.
Can you use these both?
I think you definitely can as you may want to get the benefits from both, just remember to alternate them as opposed to using both daily!
They are Refillable!
Both the Medik8 Press & glow and Medik8 Press & Clear are refillable. The refills cost £23 for 200ml of the Press & Glow and £29 for 150ml of the Press & Clear.
I am loving both of these Medik8 exfoliators and I tend to dip in and out them depending on my skin at the time. I mainly use the Press & Glow and then when I get hormonal breakouts then I switch up to the Press & Clear for the week. They are both excellent and you will definitely see the results with these. Absolutely perfect for brightening and treating more sensitive and reactive skin.
