It’s been a hot minute (about 6 years to be precise) since I used an eye cream from REN. Gimme that glow tonic, gimme that Evercalm Cream, gimme that glorious rose bath oil and gimme that cleanser in the red tube. Eye creams? I don’t think I can think of any that are particularly stand-out for me from REN. They used to do a great de-puffing eye gel many moons ago which I loved in my makeup kit for tired AF model’s eyes but that’s the only one I remember!
I was really excited when the REN Brightening Dark Circle Eye Cream landed on my doorstep a few weeks ago as it just sounds like the kinda eye cream I like : I need all the brightening, wake-me-up and zing in my life. The orange packaging dicates to me it’s sitting within that brightening range and it’s the range I am probably the most familiar with and we all love a bit of that brightening Ready, Steady, Glow Tonic amirite?!

This eye serum is great for people (like me) if you simply want something easy, brightening, de-puffing and energising. It’s hydrating for sure, and leaves your delicate eye areas feeling nourished and comfortable. It’s definitely targeting lines but I think the key here is simply making you look AWAKE. Dark circles be gone forever please.
It sits well under any makeup/concealer I have used it with and obviously marries well with other brands. I think REN is one of those brands that everyone needs a lil’ bit of in their lives.

I assumed it would be a light serum kinda vibe. For some reason whenever something is marketed as ‘brightening’ I assume serum, gel…I don’t know why. The texture of this surprised me : it’s actually quite a nice cream texture…it feels ‘thick’ almost and comfortable and nourishing when you apply, yet not heavy once absorbed.
I really LOVE it. I’m fussy AF with my eye creams and it’s the one thing I can get adverse reactions to, but this is absolutely beautiful and I think they’ve absolutely nailed this formula. A big thumbs up from me. I’ve finally found MY eye cream that works for me from REN!
