We don’t always have time or money to skip to Knightsbridge to visit our favourite facialist once a month. If I am lucky, I have a facial maybe twice a year as for me, it’s a luxury and I have so many fabulous products on my bathroom shelf that I try and make-do with my self-made facials.
Sometimes I spend hours preening and pampering myself with various scrubs, AHA’s masks and cleansers, however when I don’t have *that* much time I have x 3 products up my sleeve that always deliver speedy, quick results when I need….and it takes just 5 of your precious minutes.
First up, swipe the day off with the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel. This is a jelly-like balm that does contain oil so removes makeup, grime, SPF really well AND it gently exfoliates the skin with Pumpkin Enzymes. I also find it really invigorates the senses with the addition of Chamomile & Rose = it smells EDIBLE! Dry off your skin and then slather a good layer of the Soley Organics GLÓey face mask and massage it over your face. This is a gorgeous organic face treat that contains Olive kernels to gentle exfoliate, Coconut oil to moisturise, a combination of wild Icelandic herbs that calm redness & inflammation and eliminate bacteria, and Peppermint oil invigorates the skin and senses. This only needs to be left on for one minute (I leave it on for around 3 cuz I’m that kinda rebel) and then follow with the last step : hydration.
…but not any old hydration. The Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil is a brilliant PM treat that I always find gives next-day results on my skin. It is a retinol based oil that also contains potent cold-pressed oils to rejuvenate, restore and smooth your skin. I don’t use this every single night but it’s perfect for when my skin needs a rapid and effective boost, and when I wake up the next morning I can really see a difference.
