The Revlon Pro Collection Salon One Step Hair Dryer & Styler is not only a helluva mouthful BUT it’s also a little bit of a time and life-saver ; if like me, you struggle with the at-home blow-dries and struggle to style your hair in any way that looks presentable! I have fine, damaged and shoulder-length hair – I’m lucky in the fact that it dries really quickly because of how fine it is, BUT if left to dry on it’s own accord, I’m afraid it’s frizzy, lacklustre and actually quite comical. When the Revlon One Step Hair Dryer landed on my doorstep a few weeks ago I was very intrigued as to what it would do and if it would work.
It looks like a giant paddle brush, I have similar-looking ones in my collection, but it omits heat like a hair dryer so it quite literally styles and dries your hair as you brush it through. It is also boosted by IONIC technology (fancy) that reduces dry-time and making hair smoother. There are 2 heat settings and a cool shot if you need, there is a professional-length swivel-cord which makes it easy for use and with having the brush AND heat in one place, it’s super easy to reach the hard-to-reach areas/ back of your head without fuss.
How does it work for me? My hair was was left really smooth and silky feeling (unusual for this barnet) and it looked *almost* like a blow-dry : a huge improvement than if I had just dried it as usual with my hairdryer or air-dried. It had a lot more smoothness and all I need was a quick dollop of serum and a run through with the hair straighteners in some areas and I was good to go! Its definitely something I will be using every time I need to dry my hair – it took me the same amount of time than with a normal hairdryer but I didn’t then need to follow with a whole session of straightening afterwards so all-in-all = A time saver too. I find the Revlon One Step Hair Dryer best when used on towel-dried to half-dried hair on myself.
