I’m a bit lost when it comes to the copious amounts of ‘alphabet creams’ (BB/CC/EE) that are launching by the day ; there are just SO MANY to choose from that it can be a little confusing to know what you may need, if any. On the plus side, if you do a little research, you will definitely be able to find one of these creams that fit into your routine, improve your skin AND fit within your budget.
I’ve been loving the CC vibes lately and the Estee Lauder Revitalising Supreme Global Anti-Ageing CC Creme is one of the favourites. It is a fabulous product, and has continued to make my skin look glowing, fresh and feeling revitalised. Anti Ageing + Colour + Comfort.
It is one of *those* creams that comes out of the tube a white-ish/pale grey tone, then as the pigments burst and warm to your skin, it will adapt and blend in seamlessly. There are quite a few other CC creams I have used with this exciting technology and I really love the versatility and in a schoolgirl kind of way, the way the colour changes before my very eyes.
This Estee Lauder one is not only going to tone down redness and give you a burst of SPF protection, but it is also loaded with hyaluronic acid which instantly plumps out the skin, cucumber extract to soothe and reduce redness, caffeine to stimulate circulation, shea butter & jojoba to nourish and hydrate and another huge plus is that it is non-acnegenic. AKA it won’t clog you up and cause breakouts or other irritating problems…that lovely silicone in there which will instantly refine pores and smooth the skin ; you don’t need to panic about.
The coverage is very natural and light so it depends on your skin condition on how you want to use this, it’s very versatile. I am using it more often as a first step makeup/primer…using it AFTER my skincare, although on a weekend away, I could quite happily use this as skincare-base-everything. If I need more coverage after this is applied, I will dab on concealer where needed and job done. Perfect for those no-makeup-makeup days / post gym / pre gym / holiday skin etc.
This Estee Lauder CC cream costs £40 which is a little eye-watering BUT it is more than just makeup/pigment, and a typical high end tinted moisturiser is going to be around the £30 mark so I think it’s justified. Probably not one that the teens/20’s need to opt for just yet, but perfect for the 30yrs+ bracket going up to the oldest of skins.
