Waaaaaaaaa. How is it April already?!
HOW do people still think it’s acceptable to do the whole ‘I’m pregnant-not-pregnant’ announcement on social media for April Fools’ day and still think it’s funny?!
How is 2017 whizzing by me so quickly??
Next thing it’ll be summer….then Chri….anyway. March has simply flown by for me. I’ve been busy with lots of work, events and managed to squeeze in a lil’ Skiing trip at the end..
Let’s get straight to it : MARCH BEAUTY FAVOURITES:
SKINCARE:
Perricone MD Cocoa Moisture Mask. Yes it smells of chocolate and YES it’s as glorious as it sounds. Perfect for a moisture boost on parched skin and in particular for my post-holiday skin. Not only does it infuse your skin with hydration, but it also has a firming and lifting effect : Yes to mid-30’s peeps like myself. Am super impressed with Perricone MD’s latest offerings and it’s firmly becoming one of my favourite skincare brands.
La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo [+] Unifant. I love the original Effaclar Duo [+] which I have mentioned quite a bit on this blog over the years. It’s a really good treatment for acne-prone and blemished/oily skin. This newer formula has a slight tint in it that reduced redness and acts like a light base so you can treat you skin without plying on foundations after – this allows you to have a lightly covered, yet breathable base.
MAKEUP:
Benefit Galifornia. This is the ultimate punchy-peach shade for spring/summer and works on every skin tone I have applied it on. Has a bit of a glow-ey finish and when used over the Hoola gives you that perfect holiday skin. Also looks great on the eyes!
PIXI Hello Rose! This is a trio set that contains a blush-highlight, a liquid glow booster and a rosey lipgloss. I love all of the products in the set but have been using both the blush-highlight ‘Peach Honey’ and the glow booster ‘Peach Honey’ pretty much on a daily basis. A perfect lil’ set also to dip your toe into the PIXI makeup offerings if you are yet to try.
Antipodes Translucent skin-Brightening mineral powder. Forget Laura Mercier Translucent powder for a second > the Antipodes mineral finishing powder is lighter in texture and gives a brighter and healthier finish. Plus it’s mineral-based, so better for problematic, acne-prone and sensitive skins. MY FAVOURITE SETTING POWDER EVER.
Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette. No need for much more explanation. I love this palette. Full review and makeup looks HERE.
EVERYTHING ELSE:
Balmain Silk Hair Perfume. On first appearances this may sound (& look) like a fancy hair perfume… It does make your hair smell a bit gorgey BUT it’s also a leave-in conditioner and a fantastic de-tangling treatment. Something that my bleach-ravaged hair yearns for! It contains silk protein to repair and a good dose of argan oil to smooth and nourish your hair and my hair is a lot softer and *almost* silky when I have been using this. If you are London-based this is available at the amazing John Bell & Croydon!
Smith & Cult Nail Polish ‘Bitter Buddhist’. This shade is a perfect transitional spring-but-not-TOO-spring shade : a muted pastel green that seems to go with anything I am wearing at the moment (grey, mainly grey) and it’s a bit more of a grown up version of my once-favourite Essie Mint Candy Apple.
SHOW Beauty Premiere Dry Shampoo. I got this in this Birchbox a couple of month’s ago and have already finished it up – love the luxe packaging but the product also reflects this as it’s one of the best dry shampoo’s I have used : love the smell, the texture and the finish. Weeping that I like it so much as it’s £30 for a full-size.
