WOW & FINALLY. Caroline Hirons’ Skin Rocks has landed!
I’m so thrilled to finally be able to share with you that skincare guru, beauty industry favourite and one of the most influential figures in skincare has *finally* launched her first products from her much-anticipated skincare range…..SKIN ROCKS.
I have been on the various lives this morning to find out all the key information and details which I will be sharing with you and updating as and when.
The brand, which has been 10 years in the making, is called Skin Rocks, there is no ‘Caroline Hirons’ name anywhere as she wanted not to de-tract anything away from the skincare. It is a FORMULA FIRST brand. There are no investors , it is self-funded by Caroline Hirons so she has full control over EVERYTHING….which is amazing. All the skin rocks products are developed with the strictest protocols from beginning to end and are a result of Caroline’s 25 years working in the beauty industry.
Every product is and will be (blind) clinically tested. They have been tested and will be tested on ALL skin tones and types.
Products are made in the UK and they are cruelty free. The cleansers and moisturisers which are coming soon will come both fragranced and un-fragranced so you can choose your preference (I believe this is an industry first).
There will be 5 CATEGORIES of skincare. They will be colour-coded and will be :
1.) Cleanse
2.) Tone
3.) Treatment
4.) Moisturiser
5.) Protect
They are launching 08.11.22 with 2 TREATMENT products which are :
RETINOID 1 (£65) 30ml
A beginner strength vitamin A serum that boosts skin clarity and promotes a smooth, even and radiant skin tone. Clinically tested and proven to significantly reduce dark spots, pigmentation after just 4 weeks. Suitable for all skin types including sensitive, blemished/ congested, first sign of ageing.
This is your entry-level vitamin A serum if you are just starting out using it or you are prone to sensitivity.
It contains 0.2% hydroxypinacolone retinoate (HPR), retinoid boosters such as bakuchiol and soybean extract, as well as moisturising supplementary actives including squalane and vitamin E = the vitamin A will resurface and renew your skin and other ingredients will calm, nourish and soothe. Both barrels !
HOW TO USE RETINOID 1 : Start with x 2 a week and build up to 3/4 times a week. Use in the PM, after cleansing. Apply a few pumps of the serum across your face and lightly massage into the skin. Follow with your moisturiser. Use SPF in the day.

RETINOID 2 (£75) 30ml
This is for those who are using vitamin A already or you can move up to this after getting used to no.1. This is a more concentrated and active vitamin A serum that boosts skin clarity and promotes a smooth, even and radiant skin tone. This exfoliates the outermost layer of skin, whilst simultaneously conditioning, to reveal a renewed, even complexion. All skin types. Ideal for congested and/or mature skin.
This has an active level of 0.5% hydroxypinacolone retinoate (HPR) and 0.05% retinal added. Retinal is incredible ! This also contains the same as Retinoid 1 in terms of nourishing, boosting and soothing ingredients such as squalene, bakuchiol and soybean extract.
HOW TO USE RETINOID 2 : Use in the PM, after cleansing. Apply a few pumps of the serum across your face and lightly massage into the skin, avoiding the eye area. Follow with your moisturiser. Use SPF in the day. Use x 2 a week until your skin is used to it and then up it to x 3 a week.

The other products and categories will be launching soon, I will update this information as soon as I have it. I believe the SPF is going through the strictest of testing and the cleansing balm is being perfected beyond perfection! I can’t wait to see what is coming next.
SKIN ROCKS REFILLS.
These will have refills which are launching very soon. The price for the refills will be less than the above prices. There will also be another strength (stronger/ advance) of the Retinoids soon, so expect Retinoid 3 next year.
SKIN ROCKS : THE PACKAGING.
The boxes for these products are in a teal packaging with a pale blue. The products within are pale blue/almost indigo-looking in colour , made from glass , with a very important clicky-lid (that apparently won’t come off unless you are wanting it off) and on the top of the lid is a circle ‘guide’ for how much of that product you should be using : genius. The Skin Rocks branding is one the BACK of the product, again focusing on that the product DOES on the front. This is user-friendly and functional packaging.

WHEN IS THERE MORE LAUNCHING FROM SKIN ROCKS?
4 more product categories and I’m sure extensions to the ‘Treatment’ category also. I think more information on this will be released later today and again, I will update this post as and when. Caroline did say that the other product categories will be in different colours : we will have orange, pink, teal, another colour I cannot remember (!) and the blue you see here. So colour-coded into categories, again something I really like! Easy to navigate and choose.
SKIN ROCKS SHIPPING COSTS.
As they launch the shipping costs are free standard UK shipping with an option for express for £5.
International shipping is free over (or equivalent to) $150.
