Birchbox is one of my favourite beauty boxes that give you a monthly dose of beauty & makeup samples, trial-sizes and full-sizes. Each month there is a selection of different products and you get a random pick of 5 (usually) so even though others may have certain things (& internet spoilers) it doesn’t mean you will get the same. I like this idea, as you don’t quite know what you will be receiving.
This gorgeous palm-tree-covered box was a nice suprise when it hit my doorstep this month. It hosts an array of beauty treats that are all perfect for sunny days. The box is a pull-out drawer style which is a great keepsake for beauty storage. As always with Birchbox, I was introduced to some brands I had never heard of or tried before, which is one of the main attractions of these subscriptions.
Jelly Pong Pong Paradise Pigment ‘Cake Pop’ (Full Size)
I absolutely love this and actually took this away on holiday the day the box arrived. A brand that I have heard about but nevee tried, and so far I am really loving this bright coral lip & cheek colour. It’s SUPER concentrated so you literally just need the smallest dab to give a big punch of colour.
Percy & Reed Session Hold Hairspray (50ml)
I have used and loved this for many years. It’s a great lightweight hairspray that doesn’t give any helmet head or stiffness and brushes out easily. This smaller size is super handy for travel & summer adventures!
Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille Body Souffle (25g)
Again, another product that I already have and use. The Laura Mercier body souffles are very sweet, and actually this is the only fragrance (along with the fig) that my nose can handle…and I really love it! Still irring on the sweet side, but the amber gives it a little more base and depth.
James Read Overnight Tan (25ml)
I have used James Read before but can’t quite remember what product or when, I actually think it could have been a Birchbox sample once-upon-a-time. This is an overnight fake tan for the face, that doesn’t go onto pillows (yay) and promises to develop into a golden glow overnight.
Absolution cleanser (15ml)
A brand that I can’t remember trying but it looks really familiar! This is a gentle cleanser packed with natural ingredients including chamomile and oats that cleans your skin without irritation. Yet to try it but looking forward to it as I love my cleansers and trying out new ones.
