Always on the forever hunt for *that* perfect pink nude plumping lip gloss? SAME HERE my friends. These 2 shades from Dear Dahlia are some of my most-used at the moment and I have quickly become a fan of this relatively new yet much-coveted makeup brand.
Dear Dahlia is renowned for having THE best-looking products that adorn our glossy feeds. The white marble packaging, those rose gold touches and accents, and the pretty shades all make for a very instagrammable-looking collection. It is a luxury, 100% vegan beauty brand and has a focus on timeless beauty, innovative products and sophistication.
I was sent a few of their lip products and my most-used at the moment is these two stunning shades from their Aurora Shine Lip Treatment collection. These pretty pink lipglosses are lightweight in feel, they have a slight iridescence, and they leave lips looking glassy glossy and feeling really nourished and hydrated.
The packaging, yes it’s beautiful, but honestly the feel and performance of the products I have tried have far-exceeded or at least match their glossy exterior. The products feel weighty and expensive, luxury to open and to use and they are definitely in the high end category and quite rightly so. Looking through their other products they do online, I’m getting Fenty vibes for sure and there is A LOT that I really want to try.
The Dear Dahlia lipglosses come in a few different formula and finishes, from these Aurora Shine Lip Treatments being the lightest and payoff, the Paradise Moisture Lip Glaze a little punchier in the colour and then you also have the beautiful looking Paradise Dream Velvet Lip Mousses which are your liquid lipstick/long wear type formula. Although the tubes look teeny-tiny they are actually 6.5ml in size which is actually bigger than NARS lipglosses (6ml), Bobbi Brown (6ml) and MAC lipglass (3ml) just as a comparison.
The applicator is quite a long and slightly angled, it’s different to any others I think I have but is still normal in feel and application, plus gloss ; you aren’t going to go too wrong!
These two pink shades are right up my street, I love them both solo or mixed together for that perfect glossy pink out. The ‘Twilight’ shade looks more fuchsia in appearance but it’s very translucent in pay-off and gives a really subtle and multi-faceted wash of colour. The ‘Morning Dew’ is the most subtle pastel petal pink ; think of a clear gloss just with a touch of *something*.
I’ve been on the hunt for a replacement for my beloved (and now discontinued) Kevyn Aucoin lipglosses and I think I’ve found them in Dear Dahlia. These Aurora Shine Lip Treatments cost £25 and are available on Feel Unique. What do you think of these nudey pink shades? Have you tried Dear Dahlia yet?
Perfect. Pretty. Pouty. Pinks.
