I am a girl-fan of Too faced makeup and one of the products I have used consistently since I first tried it, has to be their fabulous bronzers. The textures I find really easy to blend and apply, and more importantly they do SUCH a great selection of shades that you can always find one to suit you – summer, winter, holidays….the choice is vast, they are of a superb quality and they last for absolutely ages! I have used the Chocolate Soleil for probably a good year now and am yet to hit the pan.
I am a sucker for packaging and I think Too Faced makeup is one of the brands that always has me wanting to touch and try the different products just from the way they look. The bronzers are housed in a sturdy gold plastic compact that are not only easy on the eyes, but I have dropped mine and travelled across America with it in my handbag and there has never been a crack or a breakage which can be a problem with some bronzers. Cough NARS Laguna.
Which Bronzer is for you?
With so many to choose from it can be hard to decide which may be right for you, here’s a little overview on the key shades to see which one/s could be your match.
Beach Bunny: Sheer bronze & glow for a sun kissed subtle finish. This is my Bobbi Brown bronze shimmer brick dupe.
Sun Bunny: The ultimate natural bronzer, which infuses two shades for the ultimate glowing tan. Imparts radiance & bronze to the skin. Think NARS Laguna.
Snow Bunny: This is a really natural luminous bronzer. Great if you just want a sprinkling of a glow, shot through with pink tones to add a flush.
Pink Leopard: Blush, bronze and glow in-one. Has tones of both golden browns and gilded pinks. to be fair I would buy this just for how pretty it is, still to scared to use it as I don’t want to ruin it!
Endless Summer: Long wear bronzer, perfect for humid conditions, holidays and long days. One of my favourites.
Chocolate Soleil: Medium/Deep matte bronzer. My absolute go-to. Super natural finish and can lightly shape and contour with this.
Milk Chocolate Soleil: Light/Medium matte bronzer. Perfect natural bronzing even for the palest of skins. Not many brands do a bronzer this pale.
Dark Chocolate Soleil: Deep/Tan matte bronzer. For the ultimate deep bronze.
**The Chocolate bronzers are made from cocoa mineral powder so actually SMELL OF CHOCOLATE!
My personal two favourite bronzers are currently the Endless Summer and the Chocolate Soleil. Chocolate Soleil is is the first shade I tried and probably the one I use the most ; just a really nice natural matte bronzer…think of Hoola but not quite as dark. The ‘chocolate bronzers’ are made from cocoa mineral pigments and I just love the whole texture of them and how natural they look on the skin.
The Endless Summer bronzer was the one I decided to take on honeymoon with me as I wanted something that would last all day without me having to bother checking in the mirror, and that wouldn’t melt off in Death Valley! This imparts a really nice golden glow on my skin and is a bit more softer and subtle in tone than the chocolate soleil.
The bronzers cost £21 for a generous 10g heap of product (NARS bronzers are 8g) so it’s a really good price for a high-end product, and like I said before….they last ages. If you want to try a selection of the shades then they do a fantastic ‘taster pack’ called ‘The Little Black Book of Bronzers’ for £32 which is literally all of these x8 bronzers in miniature sizes. LOVE.
Too Faced can be purchased from selected Debenhams’ stores and on the pretty Too Faced website. Have you tried these yet? What is your current favourite bronzer?
