The newest and fanciest looking palette from Urban Decay comes in the form of the Heavy Metals palette. Pure metallic pigments, bright colours and ultra-bledable, creamy textures. For full swatches and review then do check out my post here.
This is all about a quick makeup look I did with this palette and a link to my tutorial if you fancy a watch. I stepped out of my comfort zone, and opted to use the blues, greens as opposed to what I usually would have : the warm golds and coppers. These shadows apply so SO well and are very buttery so a forewarning..if you are doing a heavy eye look with these, definitely do your foundation after your eyes as you will get a little bit of fallout / droppage from the shadows.
I used lots of the blues and greens with a good emphasis on the lower lash line colour. Main colours from the palette I used were DIVE (blue), AMP (teal) and METALHEAD (burgundy-purple). <Totally not the colours I would ever use, but it’s good to switch things up hey?! A swipe of bright blue eyeliner on the inner rim and lashing of liquid eyeliner and mascara to give a strong feline flick. I opted for a nude lip although I think this would have worked well with a bolder lip too – I used the Urban Decay VICE lipstick in Unicorn which was paler on me than I remember so I enhanced it a little with the MAC Pinkie lipliner.
For full product breakdown and a quick 8-minute tutorial then have a watch of the video. I’m not a complete Blue/Green eyeshadow convert but I will absolutely be stepping away from the reds, browns and coppers a *little* bit more.
Have you tried out the Urban Decay Heavy Metals palette yet? What’s your favourite palette from them?
