I was SO very excited when I knew Alpha H were launching a cleansing balm. They are such a brilliant skincare brand and do some of my favourite and most-used products. The Alpha-H Melting Moment Cleansing Balm is an incredible addition to the Alpha-H family and honestly, straight into my top 5 balm cleansers : It’s fantastic!
This is a waterless, oil-based cleansing balm. It has a nice thick texture, it comes in a tub….it’s the perfect first-step cleanse at the end of the day to remove all that makeup, SPF, grime and daily build-up. Its’ sumptuous, it is gorgeous, it smells *INCREDIBLE* and most importantly….it removes makeup really well…yes including that waterproof mascara.
The pale orange hue gives a little hint as to what to expect when slathering this on your skin : it contains Native Australiain Wild Orange Leaf Extract so this is the main scent and it’s pretty damn dreamy..I think orange is my favourite scent when it comes to cleansers and skincare : so fresh and invigorating! Not only does this ingredient smell AMAZING but it also does a little more than that. Australian Wild Orange Leaf extract is rich in phyto-compounds such as amino acids and these really help maintain the skin’s hydration.
This cleanser also contains Australian Sandalwood Seed Oil, Grapeseed Oil and Bisabol. Australian Sandalwood Seed oil is anti-inflammatory and also helps control excess sebum. Grapesed oil is rich in Vitamin E, a great antioxidant to protect from free radicals. Bisabol is a chamomile extract and really hydrates, calms and reduces redness.
HOW TO USE THE ALPHA-H MELTING MOMENT CLEANSING BALM:
As your normal balm cleanser. With dry hands and a dry face, simply apply a hazelnut-size amount all over the face and massage it in : over the lips and eyes too to remove any makeup. Then add a little bit of warm water to emulsify the balm and then I like to then remove the remaining balm off with a warm flannel / cleansing cloth. You can then follow up with a second cleanse if you wish. I usually don’t!
