Birchbox x Cath Kidston : Contents + Thoughts.

YIKES. Sorry this is so late to hit the blog.

Birchbox April : Review + Contents…

This month see’s a collaboration with Birchbox and iconic British brand Cath Kidston to celebrate their 25th birthday. The design and products all feel very cheerful and ‘spring-like’ so let’s have a look what’s within…

First up to give your skin that radiant glow is a mini ModelCo Baked Highlighter (size 1.5g). There are 2 shades you can receive and I got the slightly warmer ‘Moonshine’ which is a pretty rose gold sheen. A good enough size to give you at least a month of glow. Carrying on with makeup, we also have a Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow Illuminator (10ml). This is a warm-toned BB cream to give the skin a rested glow. Blurs the skin, gives light coverage, reduces redness and hydrates the skin. A typical BB cream from what I can tell, nothing *too* exciting for me as I have so many similar to this! Last up in the makeup is a full-size tube of Beautaniq Beauty Fill + Tame Brow Gel (4ml). This is a vegan formula of brow gel, enriched with aloe leaf extract and glycerin to nourish and smooth the brows. It has a tint of colour, my one I got is ‘Brunette’ but alas it’s a bit warm for my preference although a nice formula and finish.

There is a generous 15ml tub of the Lumene Nordic-C Sleeping Cream which is all-in-one night treat for the skin. It contains vitamin C, hyaluronic acid & cloudberry seed extract. I’ve used this for a couple of night’s and it has a lovely texture and feel although obviously longterm I have no idea how it performs!

Last up is the Cath Kidston Hand Cream (30ml). A nice generous size and I simply love the signature packaging which matches the box. There is also a 15% off code for online shopping with Cath Kidston which is also a nice touch.

I’m pretty happy with this month’s contents and one thing I love is discovering completely new brands and products and this is one of the first boxes for AGES where I haven’t got or ever used any of the products. I’ve also been introduced to the brand Beautaniq Beauty which I have never heard of.

Value of box & breakdown:

Model Co Highlighter = £10.2, Beautaniq Brow Gel = £8.60, Marcelle BB Cream = £5.60, Lumene Sleeping Cream = £6.70, Cath Kidston Handcream = £2.50

This month’s box has a total value of £33.60 which is great value considering the box is just £10 & £2.95 p&p.
