Urban Decay have recently switched up their ENTIRE infamous VICE lipstick range to give us NEW and improved, and all vegan formulas. These come in 3 different finishes (cream, matte and shine).

I have always been a fan of the Urban Decay VICE lipsticks, I fondly remember my first one when they launched many years ago and now we have a fancy new packaging, 31 shades from your vivid reds to your soft nudes and a new look and feel.

‘A super-pigmented, longwear vegan formula lipstick that goes on smoothly and evenly, leaving lips feeling nourished and hydrated; the creamy formula is infused with Aloe Vera and Avocado Oil.’

With a new look and 100% vegan formulas, the new Vice Lipstick gives you high-impact, long-lasting colour. Los Angeles-inspired shades in three moisturising finishes: cream, matte, and shine : all with a comfy, hydrating feel and even coverage. Vice’s creamy formula gets a boost from Aloe Vera and Avocado Oil, ingredients known to be rich in antioxidants.

I was super lucky to sent one each of the new lipstick formulas and the new VICE lipgloss so thought I would show you the shades and let you see how the formulas differ side-by-side.

VICE Plumping Lipgloss : I have shade ‘Cruisin’ which is honestly the most perfect nudey pink. I love it! The wand on these glosses is like nothing I have seen before , it’s like a paddle-esque applicator but has a twist in it which is super hard to explain but it’s pretty nifty! The formula is really hydrating and nourishing with a hit of hyaluronic acid. Not overly sticky and they feel really comfortable on the lips. You get that plumping feeling after a minute or so with a slight tingle and fresh feeling on the lips. Its not uncomfortable or overly tingly btw as I know some people don’t like the feeling!  These are also super hydrating and weightless on the lips, ike I dais they don’t feel sticky and have that almost-lip-oil kind of feel. They are very hydrating too as they contain Avocado oil, Shea Butter and Passion Fruit Oil.

VICE Lipstick (shine finish) : These have a slightly different ‘look’ than the other two formulas ; this is a thinner bullet and this will be due to the super nourishing formulas, packed with oils to give hydration and that sheeney, almost gloss-like finish. It has a lovely bit of pigment in it so the colour does come through and payoff onto the lips. I have shade ‘Flower District’ which is a juicy coral.

VICE Lipstick (cream finish) : This shade is stunning (Drive In)! A beautiful bright orange-red which is a bit of a show-stopper. The pigment is higher in this cream formula, but it still feels hydrating and nourishing on the lips. The lipstick bullet is embossed with the signature UD logo.

VICE Lipstick (matte finish) : You can tell this has a bit more pigment AND a slightly more matte finish….BUT it’s not a typical ‘matte lipstick fomrulas. It is still hydrating and feels nourishing. I feel like we are used to matte lipsticks being super flat, super matte and kind of drying : this is none of those things!  I have shade Gridlock which is a beautiful, vivid fuscia. The lipstick bullet is embossed with the signature UD logo.
