Luxury Bath & Body | Molten Brown Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold

Molten Brown is one of the first high end *bathroom brands* that I was introduced many moons ago. It was the ultimate luxury in hands soaps and lotions and no guest bathroom was complete without a set of Naran Ji (now known as Orange & Bergamot I have seen). Fast forward to today and they have very similar scents etc, the classic packaging is the same, with some scatterings of new (ish) fragrance ranges such as the Oudh Accord & Gold

Oudh is one of my favourite scents and I am all about the woody, musky, deep and warm scents. This range is inspired by Assam, an indian state famous for growing Agarwood, from which Oudh oil is produced. Take me to Assam immediately.

Molten Brown desribe the range as:

“Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold is a refined fragrance with dark complexity. The fragrance opens on a top note of cinnamon leaf oil for a modern hook with an aromatic heart of elemi oil. Constructed around oudh’s natural leathery notes and sensualized by golden tones, the base adds refinement with a hint of mysterious saffron.”

The rich and opulent fragrance with top notes of cinnamon leaf oil, heart note of spicy-citrus elemi oil and a base note of my favourite, rich oudh accord. That is what gives it that lovely musky, bordering on manly scent. The range consists of shower gel, body lotion, eau de toilette and a 1-wick & 3-wick candle. The candle is So, so beautiful, I have been burning it every day I have been off over the Christmas period and it fills my house with such a woody, warm and sumptious smell. It’s up there with my Diptque Feu De Bois / Ambre so if you have similar tastes then you must give this candle a try, plus a touch cheaper than Diptyque at £36.

To accentuate the *luxurious-ness* of this range, the packaging is a little more luxe with one-off gold lids and the shower gel has particles of 24-carat gold which are easily visible to the eye…probably not doing a great deal except looking pretty but I like the idea of slathering myself in gold in the AM before I squeeze myself on the London tube with the lowly paupers.

Have you used any Molten Brown lately? What is your favourite scent?
