Caudalie Polyphenol [C15] & The Anti Ox Box

I have used Caudalie skincare sporadically over the last 6 years or so, my favourite product being of course the Beauty Elixir. If you are unfamiliar with Caudalie here are the basics ; It is a french skincare range that is in pretty much every pharmacy in France, and in the UK, it is available in selected pharmacies, department stores and ALL Space NK’s. It is a skincare range that is developed around the power of grapes, and the whole grape is used for different benefits, including the seeds, the skin, the grapevine …. everything! The newest skincare range is Polyphenol [C15] which sounds a bit tecchy and confusing but it is simply a super-powerful anti-oxidant and protective range aimed at people in their early 30’s +. This is of course, dependant of your lifestyle; if you pardy, smoke, drink, have a stressful life, then hey, get stuck into this as early as you like. Preventative is always better than cure.

Antioxidant is a word that is thrown around in skincare all the time. What is an antioxidant? It is something that protects your skin and cells from FREE RADICALS. What are free radicals? These are *bad things* like little mini pacmans attacking you that cause oxidative stress to your skin AKA you age like shit. These are everywhere and are generated more via pollution, smoking, radiation and other neggy things. Antioxidants can be ingested via food and drink but ALSO you can apply over your skin to protect and boost it from the outside also. Any skincare you use, whether you are 15, 30 or 50, should contain some form of antioxidants, it’s beneficial to ALL!

There are many types of antioxidants and many skincare brands claim to have the highest, the best, the most potent etc, and I really don’t know what it the strongest but I know that Caudalie use ‘POLYPHENOLS’ which are from the grape and are renowned for being a strong and natural antioxidant. The have combined this with Vitamin C in this range and this provides a powerful shot of brightening, protective, preventitive and smoothing benefits to your skin.

I was sent an ‘ANTI-OX BOX’* (as seen above) which is a great way you can try the three key products from this range for just £15. I would say from the sizes it will last you probably around 2 weeks with daily use which really gives you a chance to see it effect the skin and see if it works for you. There is an eye/lip cream (5ml), the anti-wrinkle serum (10ml – the hero product!) and the SPF20 day fluid (15ml). I am totally in love with both the serum and the day fluid because they feel really light and don’t congest my combination skin. They also smell BEAUTIFUL which for me, is a plus, although I know it isn’t a huge selling point. If you know and love Caudalie already, this is replacing the ‘Pulpe Vitaminee’ range that used to be in the white and green packaging.

There is a 4th product to this range which isn’t in this box, which is the Overnight Detox oil and this really sounds up my street and I am really interested to try a sample of this. It is a 100% plant-based detox oil that is for PM use and contains Polyphenols, Vitamin C, Rosehip, Neroli, lavender and carrot oils. I love a good face oil and rosehip and neroli are particularly good for balancing and normalising problematic skin. The price of this (£29) is really affordable in comparison to many oils I have used so I may be getting this when I have used my current one (s!).

I like the unisex-looking deep green packaging, it is really simple, reflects the natural ethos of the brand and also the inclusion of all the grapes! It reminds me a bit of Origins..and my other half is certainly keen on the look of it too as he seems to think it’s for him. I would say give at least one of these products a try, and in particular the beautiful serum as I think this will benefit almost anyone’s skincare routine. If you haven’t used Caudalie before either it is a perfect starting point in price and in terms of results.
