April Birchbox | Rifle Paper Co.

This month’s Birchbox UK is literally the prettiest box I have seen with it’s bright floral prints and spring vibes. It is a special collaboration with american cult stationary/lifestyle brand, Rifle Paper Co. There are two boxes to choose from (mine is the Herb Garden FYI) and you also have an option to upgrade your box for just £4 to include a pretty Rifle Paper Co notebook alongside your selection of beauty products.

The product I’m most excited by is the Benefit Dew The Hoola liquid bronzer which is a really new launch, although I just got a free sample of this from my Benefit purchases in my big beauty haul but it’s something I really like and am happy to get another travel size of this – yay! It’s a liquid semi-matte bronzer, which can be used as a typical bronzer or underneath/mixed in with foundation to add some warmth and glow. The Kueshi Foot Care Cream is a generous 40ml size and this is a brand I have never heard of. Foot creams are something I am not *that* excited by as I rarely use them but it could be a good excuse to try and get a foot rub from the husband! It has a very strong scent of key ingredient Tea Tree which would probably be overpowering anywhere else on the body but it has great antiseptic properties that is perfect for the feet. I love skincare brand Balance Me and have tried their wonder eye cream before so am intrigued to try this version which is tinted. I haven’t used a tinted eye cream before although I remember years ago it was a bit of a *thing* with one of the high street brands….was it Garnier?! I quite like the idea of this and it feels wonderful on my skin, really fresh and the light pigments in it, it gives you a really light concealer-like effect at the same time. Would consider buying the full-size of this.

The final 2 items out of the 5 are products that I have had before in Birchbox which is a bit of a shame, but I guess you will see repeat products at some point as a long-term subscriber but 2/5 is quite unusual! The Parlor Detangling Leave-in conditioner is a really nice post-wash nourishing spray that does pretty much as it says and this small size is super handy for holidays/weekends away. The other item, which again IS really good but I did get it pretty recently, is the Cynthia Rowley black eyeliner. Really soft and creamy and blacker than black…this is a great eyeliner, but I wish I had something else in it’s place as I have SO many eyeliners that this will probably just get given away!

Birchbox is a reasonable price at just £10 per box & £2.95 P&P. For more details and to Subscribe you can go onto the Birchbox Website. Do you subscribe to any beauty boxes?
