Birchbox November 2017 with VOGUE.

Well this is a pretty exciting collaboration. I think Vogue is instantly recognised and one of the most powerful and influential fashion powerhouses in the world and anything they put their name to….I kinda want in.

Vogue is a magazine I have read for over 2 decades (even before I read any of the articles) and I have piles of old magazines at home, for the iconic covers and also lots of makeup and fashion inspiration. All of the items in the Birchbox X Vogue edition have been featured in the Vogue 100 Beauty Hall of Fame so tried, tested and approved by beauty’s best!

First up there is a Benefit HOOLA (travel-size). Who doesn’t love this classic, matte bronzing powder?! I love this teeny compact and it’s perfect to take along in your handbag for daytime and/or night time top-ups. Another product that I already have and love is the Percy & Reed Volumising No Oil Oil. This comes in a generous size that will last you a good few weeks to trial it out. It’s a lightweight taming serum that smooths the hair but doesn’t weigh it down with excess oil, perfect if you have fine hair like me.

There is also a James Read Gradual Tan Overnight Mask sounds really good and this is a brand I haven’t used extensively but have heard great things. It’s a deluxe 25ml tube so will give maybe around 10 uses if using on the face, which I think is perfect for giving it a good try. The L’Occitane En Provence Shea Butter Hand Cream is quite a small sample and I wish this had been perhaps a little bigger as it only really gives you a couple of usages. There is only one ‘full size’ item in this month’s box which is a bit of a shame and this is the Birchbox Brush Cleanser, which is this rubber finger-puppet type thing! I actually really like this as I have never used one before and it really helps get your brushes clean…more easily. Possibly my favourite pick of this month’s products, and I feel a tiny bit underwhelmed with the selection and sizes in general.

Maybe as it was a collaboration with Vogue I was expecting too much ; It’s not a bad box but not as fabulous as I had hoped!
