Peachy Makeup & Beauty Picks.

Ok so it’s *nearly* that time to say ta-da to the tan, the beachy hair, the fluffy sliders (!) and that punchy summer coral lip. In it’s place, we opt for chunky knits, burgundy hues and wine & cheese instead of G&T’s. Ok that’s a huge (& quite frankly ridiculous) generalisation and presumption but you know what I mean.

Winter is coming. To be honest I don’t *not* wear anything influenced by a season BUT there is something about tanned skin and peach makeup and hues that just works so damn well, and it’s always been and always will be my favourite tone in makeup : on the eyes, on the lips, on the cheeks and on the nails.

I LOVE MY PEACHY THINGS and here’s a bunch of peach stuff that I love, basically.

Sooooooo let’s start with base/skin and highlight. I have LOTS. One of my favourite box o’ powders from Benefit has to be the newer Galifornia which is a gorgeous bright coral-pink and it smells delicious < doesn’t matter but MATTERS. Probably my most-used shade of the summer. The Too faced Sweethearts blusher in ‘Sparkling Bellini’ is a beautiful baked coral glow that is perfect for when you want both blush and highlight in-one. My newest collection to the peach powder blush is the Too Faced ‘Papa Don’t Peach’ which is more of a golden-peach tone and you can see this on me here.

Favourite Creamy formulas of blush include the By Terry Blush Glace in ‘Frozen Petal’ : This looks terrifyingly neon in the pot but is a sheer-translucent gel which applies a lot more natural than it looks I promise. For a rose gold highlight I absolutely love the NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator in ‘Gleam’ – beautiful straight onto the cheekbones or mixed in with foundation for a more subtle finish.

Oh, and obviously the NARS Orgasm blusher. I actually use this more as a highlighter/glow rather than a blusher FYI as it goes very gold on me.

Eyes. I’ve kinda just realised I missed out my beloved Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow palette from these photo’s as I think it was in my kit, but this is defo one of the best out there if you like your warmer tones, pinks and peaches on those peepers. I also love the slightly unusual MAC Pigment in Neo Orange which is a bright, matte orange shade that works well as an all over eye shade or a great transition shade too .

I have a horrendous amount of peach and coral lip colours so it was a task to whittle them down to this bunch but here we are. Kevyn Aucoin Expert Lip Colour  in ‘Micavel ‘ is one of those shades that every time I put it on, it just instantly makes me feel and look better ; beautiful texture and feel. One of my favourite formulas of liquid lipstick is the Revlon HD Matte Lip Colour and ‘Flirtation’ ticks all my peachy boxes.

A slightly random find was the Wet n’ Wild Megaslicks Balm Tint.

TRUE STORY & SIDE NOTE: I was on honeymoon in California (of you didn’t know I hear you say…..check it ALL out here I reply) and my husband was seriously ill with stomach ache and some gastric thing-mc-bob. We called the doctor’s and they advised that we needed to get medication from the 24-hour pharmacy. So off I drove (terrified as I’m not great at driving on the left, it was pissing it down, I had no idea where I was going, and alone) and |I found my way to the Pharmacy. It was a CVS = win. They are SO good for drugstore makeup so obviously I spent a good 20minutes perusing makeup, swatching and ended up spending around $70 on makeup, whilst my husband was rolling around in pain at the hotel. I hid my stash and pretended I got lost driving…. LOLS. Anywayyyyyyyyy it’s a really beautiful and VERY bright coral stain, applies like a balm, feels like a balm but stays on literally ALL DAY. Will pick up more of these when I next go to the U.S later this year.

My favourite peachy liner at the mo, is the NYX Slide On Lip Pencil in shade ‘Timid’, such a great price and they are nice and creamy formulas with no drag.

Gotta match those peach tips with the lips. Essie ‘Tart Deco’ is a nail colour I have had in my stash for around 6 years now, and this is my 3rd bottle and I keep coming back to it. Looks beautiful on both the hands and feet with a tan. A newer addition to my polishes is the Rimmel Super Gel in ‘Coral Queen’. This is a beautiful bright, punchy orange if you want to be a little bolder.

Do you switch up colours seasonally? Tell me you love PEACH as much as me?! Any favourite makeup items? I NEED MORE.
