I went along to have a look at the MUA spring/summer collection last week and they have some really exciting products coming out including some candy colour lip balms and THESE beautiful Whipped Velvet cream blushers*. There are 5 shades from very subtle dusky tones to bright pinks and coral shades.
They have a really gorgeous velvety-smooth-whipped-mousse texture and apply easily and smoothly onto the skin. I always apply cream with my fingertips but a brush (synthetic) works equally as well. Apply your blusher onto the ‘apples’ of the cheeks, when you smile the ‘apples’ are the bits that protrude out and lift on the face. This is the perfect area for blush as it’s kind of where you would naturally blush and it isn’t too high or too low on the face.
They are lightweight on the skin, and you can have these blushers really sheer and natural or build them up to get a brighter pop of colour ; don’t be put off by how bright they look in the pan, they really don’t go on that vivid! Due to the semi-matte texture of these they last really well on the skin and I just need to touch up maybe half way through the day with my colour of choice. My favourite shade currently is ‘Spry’ , a really soft dusky rose shade and I think this will be the best-seller. What’s even better they are JUST £3! Did you ever try the By Terry cream blushers before they were so swiftly and unnecessarily discontinued?!.. These, in my opinion are as good as those.
