Stila backstory. I remember my FIRST ever *luxe* makeup item was from Stila. I was shopping with my mum in Bath, I must have been about 15 years old and we went into Space NK and she treated me to this lip quad which I liked the look of and I remember how I COULD NOT BELIEVE the price of it – it was £26! I was used to my Rimmel Heather Shimmer for a snip at about £4 back in the day. I loved it and wore it for possibly 3 years after that.
Fast forward to today and I have now used Stila makeup for over 20 years! I have always spoken of my obsession of the Convertible Colors which I have used in my professional kit for at least 10 years now and in the last 2 years Stila have really upped their game in the UK – it’s more readily available, they are bringing out the most amazing new launches and I am loving it more than ever.

Try these first! The failsafe products from Stila that never let me down. Swoon. First up is, of course the Convertible Colors. Small cream colour compacts that are equally as good on the cheeks as the lips and come in a huge and beautiful array of glorious colours from the sheerest nudes to the bright n’ bolds.
Possibly the most famous product right now from Stila is the Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow. These launched earlier this year and were a HUGE hit with makeup lovers around the globe. I saw them on every blog and You Tube video and I wanted them all immediately. I started off with the best-seller, Rose Gold Retro (which *is* a beautiful as everyone says) and I’m going to definitely be investing in some more for both myself and my kit. They are so easy to apply with the wand, you don’t have to use brushes, they have beautiful multi-faceted shimmer AND they stay on creaseproof ALL. DAY. LONG = Dreamsville.
PRIMERS. they are fabulous too. The famous one is the One Step Correct (with the green / violet & pink pigments inside) but I am currently living for the One Step Illuminate primer which colour corrects and brightens the skin at the same time. A kit favourite for me & my clients love it! It’s also oil-free and helps evens out the skin texture.
THE (actual) best BB cream I own and one of the only ones I use on the regs is the Stila Stay All Day 10-in-1 HD Beauty Balm. It’s just a great colour for my skin as I find at lot of ‘universal’ tones too pale for me but this is just perfect. It has SPF 30, it smooths my skin, it gives a decent-but-not-too-much coverage, it’s oil-free BUT gives me a healthy, radiant glow AND it’s mother-fuc*ing WATER RESISTANT. Too good. It’s had a little packaging update since I purchased mine FYI.
Last up is the newest Stila item to my collection and it’s for all you highlighter loversssss out there. I couldn’t decide which highlighter I liked the most so the Star Light Star Bright Highlighting palette gives you a perfect selection of 3. KITTEN is their iconic highlighter shade (in the middle) which is BECCA Opal-esque but I also love a pinky highlighter and a slight deeper one for summer so this has me covered.
