Liquid lipsticks /stains are kind of like the 2014 ‘BB cream’ it seems. Every makeup brand, pretty much is introducing to them to their ranges and into welcome arms. They are popular because of the high pigment, beautiful bright shades you can get, the ease of application and of course, the long wear. Too Faced introduced their version of these a few months ago called Melted liquified long wear lipstick* which are some of my favourites. The colours cater for all, and they provide a really comfortable & long wear of full power colour.
The name *melted* comes from the idea behind the formula, which is how it looks when the original lipsticks are melted down in the cosmetic lab vats. The applicator is absolutely wonderful on these as it allows precision and quick application and if you apply precisely then you will never need a lipliner with these.
The wear on these is around 5-6 hours with no reapplication needed. They are a semi-matte finish but do have a bit of sheen. This dries after a while so if you lips are dry be sure to give them a little prep with some sugar scrub and a touch of lip balm before use so they don;t look cakey and flakey. Don’t put too much lip balm on prior to application though as this will hinder the colours ability to adhere & stain the lips.There are currently 7 shades to choose from (priced at £19).
