This is a makeup brand I have actually NEVER tried until now, although I have heard so many great things AND I know mega-babe Abbi Rose who is their makeup artist ambassador. Hi babes. I have only seen a counter in one of the Sally’s I used to go to so it’s hard to swatch and look at the products as it’s not *everywhere*. If you know me, you know I’m not a fan of online shopping ; I have to physically go into a shop / swatch / match / play before I purchase any makeup!
I got sent a couple of the Lord and Berry Timeless kissproof lipsticks to try out so I wanted to share with you my thoughts, and because they are pretty darn fabulous. I have *no* idea why I chose the 2 most autumnal shades they do, but it must have been raining that day. Either way, they are both colours that are very bold / unusual and totally the colours that I would wear.
Noblesse is a really brown-beige-nude shade : that I-hate-to-say-it-but-i’m-gonna ‘Kylie K’ signature lip. I just cringed myself out, sorry, but it’s the best way to explain this shade.
Knockout is that beautiful deep berry that I wear a lot with a simple feline flick. This is possibly my most-worn shade of the week and I will definitely be getting this out a lot more in the autumn.
These are your typical liquid lipsticks but with a more sensorially feel – they aren’t too thick or matte but apply more like a gloss and are more fluid than most liquid lipsticks I have. The point of these is that they give a high coverage look without the high coverage/thick feel that we all know. They are comfortable to wear, transfer resistance (aka kissproof!), have a matte finish AND they are not drying. The applicator is slightly longer than most (doe foot) and this allows for lipliner style application if you want precision. After applying these, because of their more fluid texture, allow around 2-3 minutes for it to completely dry and turn matte ; and then get on with your day. Eat, drink and be merry because these ain’t going nowhere!
What have you tried from Lord & Berry? I would love recommendations of other products as these are the only things I have tried from the brand.
