NEW LAUNCHES | DHC Quick Film Primer & Gel Pencil Eyeliners.

There is going to be an abundance of new products coming your way this month, as brands push to get their new, innovative products out to entice you right from the off. I will try to keep up and show you as many as I can/know about and I’m starting off with these 2 new products from Japanese skincare/makeup brand DHC : A primer-moisturiser hybrid AND a couple of fabulous gel eyeliner pencils.

I have been using both the products for a couple of months now so wanted to share with you my feedback and insights so you can gauge if these products need to hit your wishlist.

Quick Film Smoother.

This is a primer-like, wrinkle-smoothing and lightweight moisturiser hybrid that I find perfect to prep skin before makeup application. Like a primer, but a little bit more va va-voom.

The texture is a light gel-cream that will hydrate areas that need it and give an overall airbrush-like finish on the skin. It contains egg shell membrane peptides (WHAAAAT) that act to firm and plump the skin along with seaweed extract and hyaluronic acid to protect & enhance moisture levels.

If you are oily/combo then using this simply as your primer-moisturiser-in-one will be fine. On normal-dry skins then I would suggest using your normal skincare regime and this as a last step/primer before makeup application. I think this product is best suited to a normal-dry and mature skin OR if you have an uneven skin surface /open pores but don’t want a thick silicone-based primer. It feels really lovely and silky on the skin ; for me, it beats the Laura Mercier Primer hands down.

GOOD NEWS: This is currently in the DHC’s January sale for £17.50 instead of £22 so check it out here if you are on the hunt for a primer-moisturiser hybrid.

Gel Pencil Eyeliner EX.

NOW *THESE* I AM SUPER EXCITED ABOUT. SO MUCH SO I HAD TO WRITE IN CAPITALS.

Non-smudging super creamy twist-up eyeliners that combine the precision of an eye pencil and the softness and payoff of a cream-gel. These are some of the best formulas I have tried and they quite literally will stay on for days ; no creasing smudging or budging and they apply in the waterline really smoothly and easily with full inky pigment. I don’t think you will be able to beat these ESPECIALLY with their £9.50 price tag, and I have tried many great eye pencils that are TWICE this price and the DHC ones are as good, if not better. Coming out in black and brown initially, and I’m hoping for more shades in the pipeline.

These are launching very soon so keep your peepers peeled if you like a soft, creamy eyeliner that will not move anywhere.

Do skip along to the DHC website and have a peruse as they have a great sale on throughout January until February and it’s across pretty much ALL the range (inc *that* cleansing oil).
